The day soon arrived. Angela stood at the entrance of the amusement park, waiting for Aaliyah. She had on her red outfit and was wearing contact lenses instead of her usual glasses. She looked around. Finally, she found Aaliyah, a little away. She seemed to be looking for her.
"Aaliyah! I'm here!" Angela called to her. Aaliyah looked over.
"Angela there you are!" she said. She was wearing box braids, tied in a ponytail.
"My, I almost didn't recognize you without your glasses," said Aaliyah. "You look stunning."
"Thanks. You look great too" said Angela.
"Aww thanks. Now, where should we go first?"
"Umm, I don't know, where do you want to go?"
"How about the rollercoaster?"
"I don't know, I've never been on one."
"Me neither. But there's a first time for everything, right?"
The two girls got in line for the rollercoaster. Soon it was their turn. They got into their seats and put on their safety belts.
"I'm so nervous," Angela said.
"Don't worry, I'm right here" said Aaliyah.
The ride soon started. The coaster started going up slowly, until it reached the top.
"Hey, this isn't so bad," said Angela.
And then it happened. The roller coaster suddenly dropped down. Angela's stomach turned. She screamed and hung on to Aaliyah, who was having a blast. Angela felt like she was going to fall off.
Finally the ride ended and the girls got up from their seats.
"Whoo, that was so much fun!" said Aaliyah.
"I thought I was gonna die but otherwise it was good" said Angela.
"Oh come on, don't be so dramatic," said Aaliyah. "Alright, so where do you wanna go next?"
"I hear there's a new haunted house here" said Angela.
"Oh, you mean the one that just opened? Yeah, lets try that."
They stood in line for the haunted house. When they went inside, they were greeted with ghosts, phantoms, and vampires. This time, it was Aaliyah's turn to hang on to Angela. Aaliyah was still clinging to Angela when the came out.
"That was fun" said Angela.
"Yeah. Sure... if you count not almost being bitten by a vampire" said Aaliyah.
"Come on, you know they're not real."
"Yeah, but it felt real, okay?"
"That's the fun of it. Okay, where to next?"
"Somewhere that's not scary."
They went around until they found a boat ride. It looked pretty peaceful.
"Lets go there" said Aaliyah. "I need a change of pace."
"Sure" Angela said.
They stood in line and went into the boat ride. It was a slow and peaceful ride compared to the others they were on. Angela unknowingly held Aaliyah's hand. Aaliyah looked down and blush, but she didn't push Angela away. Angela saw what she was doing and immediately pulled her hand away.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to-" Angela began.
"Oh no, it's okay," said Aaliyah.
They sat in silence in the ride until it ended.
