As promised, the four girls went to the amusement park. A few things had changed but it was still the amusement park they knew. Unfortunately, the Tunnel of Love ride, where Angela and Aaliyah had confessed their feelings, was no longer there. It had been shut down due to an accident a few years back.

"A shame, really," said Hanh. "I'd have loved to take you there again."

Most of their favourite rides were still there. The ferris wheel Angela and Aaliyah had gotten on was still there, only it was redecorated a bit. The cotton candy stand had a different seller. The haunted house seemed less scary, but maybe that was because the girls were adults now. Ghosts and vampires didn't scare them as much anymore.

"What really scares me is deadlines" said Angela. "Put a deadline that says 'your assignment is due soon' in a haunted house and I guarantee you I'd faint faster than if I saw any ghosts."

"And I'd be there to catch you" said Aaliyah.

"Aww Aali, you're so romantic even in these times."

They heard the sound of a camera. It was Hanh taking a picture of them with her phone.

"Hanh, will you knock that off?!" Angela asked.

"Sorry" Hanh said laughing. "I just HAD to get this moment."

"Well delete it!" Angela demanded.

"You'll have to make me" Hanh taunted her.

Angela ran after her while Valentina and Aaliyah just sighed.

"Aali, you need to keep your girlfriend in check!" Hanh called out after Angela had caught her.

"Yeah, sure" Aaliyah sounded uninterested. But it was still surreal to hear Angela being referred to as her girlfriend.

The girls went to where the tunnel of love ride used to be.

"Hey guys, lets make a promise here" said Angela.

"What is it, Angie?" asked Valentina.

"That no matter how old we grow, we'll remain young forever in our hearts. We'll never forget the times we've had, even when we become old ladies."

"Its a promise" said Aaliyah.

"Do you think I'd ever forget this?" asked Valentina.

"No, I could be a century old and I'd still never forget you all" said Hanh.

The girls intertwined their pinkies.

Whether our encounter was a dream or not

No matter how old we get

In our hearts we will remain young forever

That is our promise.
