CHAPTER 11: I had it, I hated it,I lost it, And I cried.
I cannot love you, ya know? I actually want to hate you. Do you know that I can only fear the bond waiting to develop?
I bet you didn't know that.
As the scorching flames dance on the silk of my back, twirling and marching and twirling against sins. I hate it. You want to change me and I don't deserve it. I don't deserve you. And for that, I hate you. Because you are those flames.
__Zizi has been trying to read more of her Rupert book, but was distracted. It irritated her when she thought of the ungrateful Vamin. His attitude reminded her of her task at hand. She knew she needed to focus on getting the hell out of dodge. Her escape excution had to happen quickly. She couldn't help but to envision his cold eyes, then his words came to mind.
Witches are cruel creatures who's only goal in mind is power. Chuckling, that sounded a lot like him, Zizi thought as she slid the book under her pillow. Then she slipped from the bed, walking over to her closet. The too big walk in closet with a bunch of clothes, all her size. She skimmed through the closet, enjoying the sound of the hangers scraping the cook every time she moved an article. She stopped when she saw a blue three piece bathing suit. Examine it thoroughly she took it off the hook and began to put it on.
The top was a blue strapless sexiness, the third piece, a little cloth that came around the middle of her shoulders and neck, around her back and clasped underneath her breast to support them. And her bottoms, regular blue bikin bottoms with little mermaid drill on the side of her hips. Zizi smirked, while looking at herself in the mirror which stood in the middle of the huge walk in closet.
A relaxing day in the devils pool doesn't seem too bad.
And so Zizi grabbed her Rupert book which had a book cover on it, courtesy of Seo who didn't question her when she asked for one, her sunglasses and some sunscreen.
She didn't bother to grab a towel, as she waited on her bed. Before Vamin had granted her access to the library her door always stayed locked with her inside. Now her door was never locked. Once she realized her mistake she abruptly stood, shaking her head as she made her way out the room.
Slowly walking down the hallways, she realized that although she could see the pool from the windows in some random guest room she and stumbled upon, she did not know how to get to it.
One thing was for certain, going down was her only option.
__
After a little wondering, she was escorted to the pool by the same maid who would bring her lunch sometimes. She now sat laid back on the beach chair beside the pool, thinking about her and Vamin's last conversation.
_He laid in his bed, thinking of the earlier exchange he had with his mate.
It was her soft lips that had brought him back from the past and when his eyes were clear. He could see all the worry in hers. Had he been blind the whole time? Did Zizi suddenly develop feelings for him. He grunted at the ludicrous thought. She was a witch. They were good at acting.. And betraying.
"Witches are cruel and backstabbing creatures who's only thoughts are of power". ZiZi was shocked at his statement, only because a witch had been the one to pull him out of his little bad dream.
"You were also the one to make me relive unwanted memories"
"I-h--"
"I could tell by the look on your face" was his only response as that cold glare returned. She huffed standing up.
"Witches are cruel and backstabbing creatures whos only goal is power..yeah that sounds alot like you. I read in a book somewhere that mates are supposed to love eachother, not hurt them. I'm guessing the only reason im here is because you want to use my power?" zizi was visbily fustrated. She rolled her eyes, "I'm full" she said, then began to make her way back those cold castle walls. He watched her walk away, and weirdly enough. He felt a small tug at his heart.
__
He knew and understood that he needed to change. Understanding that what he was doing was actually hurting her caused a dull ache in his chest.Breaking her wrist pained him, as he had never felt such remorse. And although hurting her left him in a dim state, he couldn't help himself. To him, trauma was the main factor of why he is the person he is today. Trauma easily buried him.
Witches are evil creatures who torture and slay."Now how can you be mean to her? Did she hit you" Cindy pointed to the little vampire girl who stood next to her son.
Vamin shook his little head. "Well you can't be mean to people who aren't mean to you" she wagged her finger with a frown on her face as she scolded him.
Vamin shook his head at the thought of his mother. It was those witches who killed his parents. It was those witches who tortured him as a child, and it was those witches who killed his little sister.
Standing up, while sighing at the thought of his upcoming task. He stood.
He felt like he would fall as he made his way to her room. Taking a deep breath as he stood in front of her door. Soft knocks. One..two.
There was no yelling, no 'go away', any of that. Vamin knew it was probably because he had forced her into submission, scaring her. She was probably to afraid to speak her mind.
The sound of his moving larynx was heard as he cleared his throat.
"Zizi..I... do apologize for my earlier outburst. I would like to talk to you now" he stated, then waited a few seconds for her to respond. He grew worried when she did not.
"Zizi—"
"Hey what are—"
At her cautious tone, he kicks open the door, breaking a few pieces off in the process.
"Zizi" his eyes grew wide at the sight of Seo with a knife to Zizi's throat, a glare in her eyes. He knew immediately the situation. Seo had betrayed him.
I had it
I hated it
I lost it
And I cried.Authors discussion: of course you lost it nigga. You never appreciated it in the first place. I genuinely cannot stand Vamin. I should make him get hit by a truck with his cute self.
