CHAPTER 3: Mates

Why did God pair vampires and witches together? Why did she pair Voodon's, and wolves together? How could she mix these species up, hybridizing them when they could all very much hate each other?!
Was the mate bond so strong that hate could be so easily defeated?
Vamin disagreed.
He knew she was his mate by the slight tingles he got when she was around, and the dreams he assumed was from god, he had been awakened from.
The bond did not stop him from hating her kind, in fact, the bond did not even stop him from killing her. It was her beauty that captivated him, the bond did nothing. He questioned if the bond was even real. But one look in her eyes assured him that it was in fact real. He had never been captivated by such beauty.

Maybe I ought to get rid of her.
Yes, it'd be a tragedy falling in love with a witch.

"How?" Zizi questioned confused. Vamin didn't feel like explaining it to her but he knew he had to or else the mating process would not go the way he had planned it to.

Vamin stood at the foot of her king sized bed, glaring down at her. He took a deep breath before gesturing towards her.

"Since you are even asking me this question I'm assuming you don't know much about who your family really are, better yet what your family really are" he said with a raised brow. He said that so distastefully, Zizi squinted.

"What the shit are you talking about?" She questioned folding her arms.

He smirked, "I'm talking about the line of Agbi voodoo priest in which you belong to, a.k.a little witches" he said, unabashedly frowning.

Zizi shook her head. "You lying fuck! You're batshit crazy. Why the fuck am I even here?!" She exclaimed.

Vamin shook his head getting annoyed already, he took a deep breath trying to control himself. He didn't want to kill his mate he had just met.

"Listen Zizi Agbi, you're a witch. I'm a vampire, you're my mate. My soulmate, my other half. I'd rather not hurt you and I understand that your overwhelmed so I'll give you time to calm down and for this to sink in" he said turning around ready to leave.

"Where are you—" the girl stood.

He closed and locked the door behind him leaving Zizi to scream for his kidnapping ass to come back and let her go home.

"Let me out! Let me the fuck out nigga!" She had got up from the king sized bed, running to the door and banging on it. She screamed and screamed until her voice was hoarse. Until she had broken down, shedding tears.
Her body had slid down the door. Her sobbing frame withered as she cried into her hands.

Why? Why was this happening to her? Why had she been kidnapped by a crazy man who so obviously had been stalking her, calling her family witches.

"W-why?" She cried out brokenly. She knew she should have never moved to New Orleans, but her sister had raised her after their mom had died. Fatima had attachment issues and Zizi did not want to leave her in New Orleans by herself.

Vamin could hear her cries from inside his dining area. He sat at the head of his long table drinking blood from a wine glass. He wished he could comfort her, that thought made him sick.

His mate was a witch. Vamin detested witches. He was in quite a situation. What made his situation even worse was the fact that apparently she had no idea of her genetics. Witch genetics.

What confused him was the mate bond. It did not feel strong at all. All the stories he was told growing up seemed make-believe. He barely felt tingles that indicated the mate bond. He did not feel his heart pulling when he looked at her. He did not understand how their bond could be so weak.

"N-now I'm kidnapped by some crazy nigga, lord help me" he could hear the strained voice.

Vamin shook his head, sighing. It was nothing he could do but wait until she had calmed down a bit. He couldn't possibly talk to her in the state she was in.

Drinking the last sip of blood, Vamin slammed his cup down, storming his way out of his mansion.

Yes, maybe handling his kingly duties would bring him peace of mind.

Authors discussion:

Y'all, for some reason Vamin & Zizi do not have the typical mate bond. Hmm I wonder for what reason that may be???

also, this makes it easy for Vamin to be aint shit to my good sis. >...<
