I looked up as the lady with red hair began to unlock the cell door. Her partner waited at guard by the door while she walked over towards me. I was sitting on the cold hard floor so she bent down to look at me.

"What were you doing in those woods?" She asked, after staring at me for a while. I didn't say anything until she sighed.

"I had been taking a walk through the woods and heard some sirens. I just wanted to see what had happened." I said.

"So you just happened to be walking through some woods at least twenty miles outside of town?" She asked, unconvinced.

"I swear, it was just the wrong place, at the wrong time." I held her stare, but she broke contact.

"Hm. Well unfortunately, it doesn't sound that likely," She smiled at me. "Y/N Y/L/N, you are under arrest of being an accomplice in the murder of Janice Moss." She said proudly as she stood up and walked off.

I went wide eyed. No way! They can't do that! They don't have any proof. My mind raced over what I surely had coming to me. The woman turned around to face me, standing at the door with her partner.

"You'll be sent an attorney if you want one and we will arrange for a transport for you back to Los Angeles."

She walked back over to me and motioned for me to stand up. I got up and turned around for her to cuff me.

I had been sitting in a new holding cell when the lady red haired lady came through the door.

"Y/N Y/L/N, you are free to go." She walked over to me and stared back at her, stunned. As she began to uncuff me, I said,

"Wait, so that's it? No charges, just free to go?" I asked, still confused.

"Yep. We had a team sweep the car and they had found and Chechen pin that read, 'the debt has been paid.'" She looked at me.

"Okay well uh, thanks." I gave her a weak smile and she nodded. I walked to the cell door and cracked my knuckles.

As I walked down the corridor of the Police Department, I reached for my phone. I had gotten it back along with my keys and jacket before I left the cell wing. I went to the Phone app and pressed Barry's number. Without thinking, I said,

"Barry, you mother fucker. Why the hell did you set me up? You bitch, I seriously thought we were friends." I said through gritted teeth.

"I trusted you Barry and you just turned into a selfless, hating, sloppy bitch. And don't even think about trying to cover, we are done and now, I'm going to kill you. I am going to hunt you down and snipe you, like we did at that stupid stash house. You better watch your back, Berkman. I'm coming for you."

I finished, seething with anger. As I hung up, I pushed the door open. The rain hit me instantly and I decided to walk to the nearest bus station.
