Annabeth
In case you were wondering, making the perfect collage is the most frustrating thing on Earth. Annabeth was probably going to implode or something, that was how crazy this thing was making her.
It wasn't even that important, but at this moment it seemed extremely so.
Rin reached over, gently covering Annabeth's hand with her own, whispering into her ear.
"Your childhood is washing back, and that's okay. You're still a teen."
Annabeth smiled at that- Rin always knew what to say in her own strange way. She was currently covering her paper with beautiful natural things like the shimmer of the moon on the ocean.
God, Annabeth loved her girlfriend. The next page in her magazine had a picture of a statue of her mother, Athena. Pushing away the memories of her time with its much larger counterpart, she cut it out of the page and glued it among the architecture and trees.
Percy's had almost all LGBT+, night sky, blue, and ocean stuff. Nico and Tam had a contradiction of dark images and fluffy ones like puppies. Will's was much more varied, like Sophie- with a leaning towards quotes, nature, pride, and multiple aesthetics. Keefe seemed to pick the most obnoxious, rainbows-and-unicorns images he could find.
Leo was attracted to all of the fire and machine pictures, Magnus and Jaz were swapping random cutouts, and Alex was... not even doing the project? Instead, he was making an origami zoo.
Nat and Honor were working together to create a couple aesthetic, and Carter was hoarding a good amount of the book themed stuff he found, only sharing with Sophie for some reason. Annabeth just used what she found, not even questioning the learning geek. Lastly was Sadie who... was trying. Sadie was trying her best.
Gods, could the amount of glue on her ever be removed?
Still, it was somewhat calming to be doing art together, calling out for pieces and trading to turn the old magazines into something new.
Annabeth needed the relaxation. Something was off, she felt it in her gut. It was coming, and when it did, it would be none too pleasant.
She was distracted from her thoughts by Percy's loud giggle, causing everyone to glance over towards him.
Will
Percy was looking through the magazine, a face of absolute concentration fixed in place. His tongue was even sticking out of the corner of his mouth just by a little, and Will thought the overall picture was adorable.
Getting an idea, Will waited until Percy didn't have any potential dangers (scissors being the main one) in his hands before scooping him up bridal style and running around the tent with him in his arms.
Percy was laughing, his arms now looped around Will to avoid falling out of his arms.
Will could see the smiles on everyone's faces, but the ones the counselors had were laced with negative emotions. Not a good sign, because the last times they had looked that anxious and sad was when Sophie was missing- and when the Neverseen were lurking.
Not a very good track record with the anxious counselors, at all. The mood in the crafts pavilion was getting kind of serious, which was part of why Will acted on his random idea. It had worked- everyone had gone back to chatting by the time he was back in his spot.
"Remember the time when Marella dared Biana to sneak up and jab Fitz with a melder?"
What. The. Hera.
"Sophie, what the heckle? That's not at all normal!"
"Eh. He kinda deserved it- he said something stupid and speciesist."
Honor raised an eyebrow. "What's a melder?"
"A melder is like an elfy taser, except it's shot like a gun and looks like a bent metal hot dog."
"Weird."
This took far too long lol :3 but another chapter yay! I wanted chaos filler fluff because the plot simply cannot move too fast.
