Nico had come back with Keefe, luckily- although Nico reported that they were close. Gods, everyone in the group was in danger just being here. They were vicious, and they had already lost several people to them.

They were everywhere too, and he already had an encounter with one of them, only stopped by the sheer fact of luck that he had a fitted sheet with him to throw at (and therefore trap) them. Their appearances were horrifying, the faces of who once were friends now with glazed eyes and feral demeanour.

How had this all begun again? That was the thing- none of them knew. All they could do was run and try to survive.

Sophie woke up with Elwin leaning over her, concerned faces gathered near her. She was on one of Dex's tables, she could tell based on the roof above her eyes and the counter under her back. She had a stomach-ache and her head felt like it was splitting.

What had happened?

A lot, apparently. Everyone chimed in to fill the memory gaps for Sophie, Tam and Sadie. They had eaten something weird, and it affected their brain functions. Sadie had less in her meal, so it affected her later. It had caused them to track down their friends and duck-tape them to a tree for some reason (?).

Whatever. Sophie just felt lucky that nobody was seriously injured and they were the only people to eat whatever had made them react this way.
