Tam

Tam had no idea where Sophie was. That wouldn't usually have been a big deal, because the new rule was that she had to at least tell somebody before wandering off- except at the moment it was his †urn to keep an eye on his accident prone girlfriend.

Schist. She could be anywhere from underground to three states over perched on a telephone pole thanks to her new wings. Sophie didn't wander on purpose, but Foster's law of unpredictable inevitability had previously proven to be an unstoppable force.

Case in point: He found her being held hostage by pushy first grade graduates who had decided that they wanted to make Sophie a princess, because she looked like one to them. Their counselor was not much help to his girlfriend, other than making sure that nobody did anything they shouldn't.

So, it took him a while to get Sophie away from the bossy girls who kept trying to convince her to stay and let them continue the 'makeover'. The counselor mouthed 'I'll send pictures' at him as he ushered his girlfriend away.

God, Keefe was gonna make so much fun of Sophie when he got wind of this... maybe Tam would have to break out a bit of loving blackmail for this occasion. Normal, no, but this was just how it worked with Tam. The people he cares about will also accidentally incur his wrath by being idiots and hurting themselves (or others Tam cared about). People he didn't care for?

Satan would likely be kinder to them, in all honesty.

Magnus

The bird lovers had done their thing. Yup, bird lovers plural. Ignoring the shock of the fact that there were several people at this camp who genuinely treated birdwatching like some people treat baseball, the instant popularity was very good for their agenda. Already, there was a petition out on the internet to save these owls, and a candidate for governor at the state level was promising to save the park as a valuable natural habitat of the endangered birds.

There was even talk about a potential government grant, allowing the camp to become a more conservation based camp. If it went through, the funding would expand the camp's legacy so that it could even compete with some of the Scouting organisation's overnight camps in the area.

Thank you, butterfly effect, and thank you internet.

Sorry it's short, today was not a gold star day and so I decided to just publish what I could finish so I can say I accomplished something.
