They had arrived the city, around them more cars than Tsuru would have ever dreamed of seeing. Red, blue, black, grey, all colorful pacing by. Same long some short and while some looked the same other varried, and the buildings. Those impressed her in height slightly, their designs captivating her.

Elvira sighed in relief to see Tsuru come out, "You weren't answering when I called."

"So? I want some time for myself too. Besides, don't you have anything better to do?" Tsuru wasn't too kind with words, looking at Evira.

"One would think you had enough time in three hundread years," Allon mentioned, looking at the road ahead turning the wheel making Tsuru move slightly in her spot.

"Watch that tongue or I might just make it disappear." Tsuru threatened, her smirk wide plastered in her face.

Allon rolled his eyes at her, unfazed, "We're nearly home." He was concentrated on the road ignoring her comments about the place.

Entering an urbanization while Tsuru bickered over where they where going, and Evira trying to explain thigs.

"Mom will be relieved to see us," Evira spoke cheerfully staring at the houses they passed by, her eyes searching for her own home even though she knew it wouldn't appear so soon.

"Why don't you just wish to be there?" Tsuru questioned no longer staring outside having grown bored of seeing the same house in different colors every time, "It is so simple."

Evira looked back at her, "Because it would look strange if a car disappeared from the road and suddenly appeared in the front porch of a house."

"Mortals..." Tsuru started snickering at them both, "That's why you never get anywhere in life." She leaned back on the seat, her show off about being immortal not lasting long. She wanted to be a mortal like them, feel the pain they felt, and take back just a little piece of her humanity.

However, that wasn't something she'd let them know. She would burry it deep and make sure they never got near.

Allon laughed, "Says the one who's been trapped in a lamp for three hundread years." His laugh was one of just mocking almost like he knew what she had been thinking abot. And just itching to tease her over it.

"I swear, you keep bringing that up and I'll cut your tongue off." Tsuru threatened again clutching his arm tightly, almost enough to break an arm.

Evira jumping in her seat from Tsuru's action and Allon nearly run the car out the road. Both of them surprised at her reaction.

Allon looked at her from the mirror a glare filled with pure anger directed at her, and while that happened Evira tried to pry Tsuru's hand off Allon.

"Let's all just calm down, we aren't here to kill each other." Evira said and continued to pull at Tsuru's hand.

Tsuru backed off and silence drowned them all. Allon just kept glaring looking at her from the mirror, and Evira would look back and forth between them.

She began tapping her fingers against the door and asked, "Why where you two in that camp? So far from home..."

"We always go to that camp in summer." Evira stated, feeling awkward when having to explain it out of nowhere, "It's a tradition in a way."

"Tradition, huh?" Tsuru said remembering all the generations she went through. Some held their own traditions, her through all of them was the same, try and kill them, "That's nice I suppose."

Evira continued trying to make a conversation, "Have you ever had traditions?"

Tsuru looked at her momentarily contemplation on whether she should tell her or not. She could tell her the good old traditions she had with her family. But no. she'd keep that to hersef, "I have."

Evira's curiosity was caught in her words, "What type of tradition?" So many questions being asked all intruding on a part of her no master had ever stopped to question. Mostly because they where all too busy making their dreams come true.

Tsuru started to become annoyed even, "Doesn't matter. It's in the past. Besides, it doesn't concern you, either."

Evira sighed and gave Tsuru space, but still her thoughts ran wild. What could a genie consider tradition? What could have evn happened with that tradition that she refused to talk about it?

Allon had been looking at them, intrigued on their conversation, "One question. What's the origin of genies?"

Tsuru's eyes widened in a slight surprise, not many asked this question. Everyone was always far too busy making their life dreams come true to pay any mind to the origin of beings so different from their own.

"It's a long story, that not even I know the start of. I know how I started and that's it." Mentioning this Evira looked at her intently. Like she wanted to piece her together and figure her out.

"Come on tell us," Evira said interested in the subject that had been brought up, turning on her seat paying her full attention to Tsuru.

Tsuru rolled her eyes at them, "I said I don't know the start of it."

Her reminding this did nothing to make them turn away, their attention had been caught and would not soon leave. They didn't say anything and just waited for her to speak.

Taking a deep breath Tsuru explained quickly, "Well, this is where I originated. Centuries or millennials ago I don't remember exactly. I know I used to live in Arabia. I was a normal human much like you two. People were disappearing from time to time and as I went out one day... I disappeared. I was just walking around and saw a lamp. I thought it had been thrown away or lost. I was curious, so I decided to grab it." She stopped briefly, biting her lip, "However, that was a terrible decision, it consumed me and forced me into a contract to be a genie. The end." Her words feeling in grief. Slowly becoming harder to hear until she reatched the end.

Reminiscing on those times that she remembered so well just a while ago. That day she spoke of was one she could never erase off her head, but only blur it into the rest of her past.

Allon was silent, contemplating her words while Evira spoke up, "What about your family? Did they look for you?"

Tsuru sighed heavily, Wasn't it obvious? She thought her tone was empty as she answered, "I don't know if they did. They're long gone by now anyways."

Evira was silenced by the poison in her words. keeping quiet for the rest of the way, feeling ashamed for asking when she noticed the look in Tsuru's eyes. She didn't dare say another word seeing as her eyes looked hollow, their emotions hidden away.

"We're here," Allon announced, breaking the silence stopping the car as quick as he said it. Marching out the door as soon as he turned it off.

Glimpsing at the back seat at Tsuru, his eyes with pity as he stared down at her.

She shook off the feeling, she knew she was pitiful but that look was hiding something. Going in the lamp as Evira took it in her hands walking out towards a woman, "Mom."

The woman walked towards her, a smile adorning her face. Having her blond locks messy in a bun, as she embraced her daughter in a warm hug.

"Evira, Allon I'm so glad you're both alright." The woman spoke as she released Evira from and hug and brought Allon into one. Taking them inside as her face showed relief, a breath shed been holding in slipping from her lips.

Spent their time together while Tsuru listened from the lamp a small amount, growing bored and ignoring them completely her thought on something she considered important at the moment.

For the subject she had in mind was Allon. Ever since she saw him, she's felt something off. Thinking he knows something, she knew that gaze, those eyes...

Torturing herself just to try and remember what was so familiar about him. It was driving her mad every time she couldn't figure it out. Trying to recollect her memories and point out just where in them did he fit.
