Keme's gaze fell hard on Allon, "Allon knows information I don't. Which is why he'll be tagging along a while."
"What did you tell Evira?" Tsuru asked.
"That she had died... that you killed her and I let it happen. She just doesn't need to be involved in any of this. She can go back with Caron and stay there... " he explained, "It was better for her to leave, so I sent her away."
She walked over to him patting his shoulder, "You took the right choice. Now we deal with Keir... mess up, and I'll have multiple murders in my hands."
Keme without wasting a second he was out of sight and off to do her bidding. Keir wasn't an easy man to track but he did leave a certain pattern, something Keme and Allon kept track of just like any of the other genies left.
Tsuru left the room, her hand on her chest shaking slightly, every step brought her closer to Keir. Everything she did was all finally be worth it. All the sacrifices throughout the centuries, finally proving to have not been in vain.
It all felt like the light at the end of a tunnel but was she mentally prepared. Face the man she once loved and would die for, the same man who stabbed her in the back and carried on his life without her while hers crumbled into pieces.
The world shook like an earthquake under her feet with the pressure she felt. Cursing at herself for having so much trouble walking, Allon walked over taking her hand and helping her find balance.
"Tsuru." Allon's voice brought her to reality, slowly taking a step, "Can we talk?"
"Uh... s-sure."
He led her to the living room, his hands shaky, "Evira knows I'm a genie... she pieces together her murder, with the car accident Allon was in years ago."
"She knows you have the body of a dead child then... Well at least she's not believing a lie. You didn't mean any ill intention, but you still did cause the death of many. She has the right to be angry, and even stay angry."
"Tsuru, I can't ever go back." He said flailing his hands in the air, "The worst part is they won't even notice anyways. Because big shot Keme made sure they just didn't notice, I could take years of walking around and they wouldn't be able to know."
At the ruckus they had caused Keme, had made an appearance. Standing in between the two, "Alright Allon, you can tone it down."
Allon glared at Tsuru and then at Keme, taking a seat and hunching forward. Keeping quiet while the two sat across from him.
"What do you want, Allon?" Tsuru asked out of nowhere, "Don't tell me you've just been aimlessly killing for nothing. What's the big goal, what you've been trying to get."
Allon looked up slightly, "I want a purpose...something that can take decades to accomplish, so I don't aimlessly kill. I just want to be a part of something, feel welcomed. Yet every time something goes wrong, or I don't have enough time. You've been aiming for revenge, Keme has been aiming to make amends, but i just want to feel a part of something."
She sat up leaning against the couch, "A part of what? A family... Allon we're genie's the only family we've had for years is each other. And frankly we're all more enemies than anything else."
"I don't know." Allon breathed out heavily.
"Then how do you expect me to know? I don't even know your real name, and you only know me because you resent me." She pulled at her hair sending strands everywhere, "Deep down, you're still a kid trapped in a game."
Keme looked at her with the most serious face he'd ever had, shocked at her words, "Everyone needs a breather. Allon beat it to a room, Tsuru... lets get some tickets."
"Tickets?"
"Yeah... i have a lead on where Keir will be." he stood up bringing Tsuru with him while Allon walked out.
Opening a screen with flight information he looked at her, "We leave in a few hours... anything you'd like to bring?"
"My lamp, that's about it." She said uncertainty, "I got a question for you Keme."
"Hit me."
"No, I'm not gonna hit you, that would be wrong."
"Not literally, it's an expre- you know what just tell me." Keme said, resting his eyes, prepared to listen a while.
Tsuru opened and closed her mouth regretting whatever she was going to ask, "What are your thoughts on me wanting to kill Keir?."
"I don't have the right to give my opinion, it's your life and your choices. I'm just here to make sure i don't feel guilty anymore... Tsuru I used to be in love with you." He found her staring at him with a blank expression, "Not exactly what you'd expect, given all the years apart."
Surprising him she laughed in return, "Yeah, it is unexpected. I know I was harsh on Allon, but was I wrong?"
He didn't answer immediately, "You weren't completely right." he pressed his hands together, fumbling with his fingers, "I have a question for you, it's only fair."
She leaned back on the wall, "Fair enough."
"Do you see these lamps as a... gift or a curse."
"It's a curse Keme, I've spent years, centuries, millenniums... trapped, of course it's a curse." She watched his expression change, "What do you consider it?"
"No, I well not all genie's had family to take care of. I felt like this was my lucky break, that things would turn for the better. Not exactly a gift but an opportunity." he explained.
"Did they? Turn for the better I mean." Tsuru leaned her head to the side, taking in his appearance, his green eyes dimming.
"Yeah, I don't hate living an eternity. It's fun seeing how things progress, I like seeing change."
Tsuru looked at him with a puzzled expression, "Fun? How can it possibly be fun?"
"Open your eyes Tsuru, in three hundred years the world did a one-eighty turn" He stood up, spreading his hands, "It all changed, for the better. People don't get away with things as easy as they used to..." he stood up and pointed out all the great things the world had to offer, "there are planes, that fly through the sky and take you places amazing, everything is-" he stopped seeing her gaze drop, "Tsuru."
She was quietly staring at the floor even when he called out to her. Just lost in thought, when seeing things through his eyes an eternity really didn't seem so bad. However, when she saw everything from her perspective it was a living hell.
"Tsuru, did I say something wrong."
You said everything wrong...
"No, continue."
