Emptying the bottle to the last drop Tsuru hid in a corner and clutched the bottle in her hands. Watching as Evira would drift away from her body.
"It takes a few minutes to take effect." Tsuru declared, she didn't want to get caught, but she needed to watch. Make sure she didn't survive, that she didn't make her eternity longer.
"Who else have you killed?" Allon asked, trying as he saw how hesitant she'd been even when nothing was in her way. It's like he wanted to think of Evira as just another death, another human was gone at the hands of genie. But she wasn't, he'd been by her side years, they were real family, and he cared.
Tsuru sighed, "Few masters back... she made me kill so many people. Men, women, children... it didn't matter to her."
Their deaths were quick and clean, but who could really call murder clean. Her eyes were like a portal to the moment, showing the guilt and fear, "I don't really care... but they weren't good people." That is what she told herself because she couldn't admit the real feelings of the memories.
"I had one of those too, I think we all had one at least, to be honest." Allon stated he looked over at Tsuru watching her. Her eyes concentrated on Elvira's coughing body, "But Evira's innocent, just like those children."
"I know...but as I told you before I get my mortal life I'll revive her, it's our deal. I'll make the wish come true before the process starts." Tsuru reminded him once more, in all honesty, she didn't really know if it would work. It was only up to luck to not make her look bad.
"We both know that isn't possible!" Allon barked back, he had never attempted to bring someone back just before getting to be mortal again. However, he had the lingering feeling that it wouldn't work, that she would fail without a good chance of trying.
Tsuru huffed, "We won't know until I try. Besides I am not like you, who can only grant one wish and has too many rules." She called out.
Nearly stepping out of the corner she was in before seeing Evira coughing harder moving in her sleep, how long until she woke up and realized her fate? Would she even get to wake up? Or just suffocate in her sleep?
"Well, at least I've actually lived a few lives." He roared ignoring Evira, he was so infatuated on making his point seen and acknowledged, "You here lost countless chances on taking the lives of the cruel and getting a clean slate for yourself!"
"Yet I'm the villain in this situation! Explain that." Tsuru commanded, she loomed over Allon glaring at him as she came out of her spot. She knew she wasn't exactly the hero, but she wasn't the villain... but was she the bigger villain in this situation or him? Tsuru had a point she might be the one committing the murder today but Allon had done it before, and many times.
"I didn't kill the innocent." He said smilingly hesitantly. Just as she saw Tsuru's lips curl up to interrogate his hesitance he interrupted, "But if what they say is true about you, you're doing all this because of a terrible breakup."
Tsuru's expression was completely different, this was the look of someone willing to go on a killing spree. His words sour to her, "Well not all of us were lucky enough to find the perfect match. And if we did... they would most likely die; you know a lot about that don't you."
Evira wheezed, opening her eyes, waking up. Sweat slid from her forehead catching sight of Allon as soon as Tsuru hid again. Extending her hand to him. Her eyes begged him to help, to do something. Evira's fate was already decided, he rushed to her side holding her hand.
"It's ok, everything will pass quickly." He assured her as tears threatened to fall, he squeezed her hand but didn't say anything else.
Feeling a knot on his throat and watching her foam at the mouth. Her lips red and her throat turning the same color like a rash.
"I... I can't ...see." She managed to choke out, "Get... T... Tsuru." She said hoping he had understood. And he had, but he said nothing, just stared pitifully at her.
Tsuru watched from the closet as Evira called out for her. It was hard to see that, looking at the scene before her unfold.
Allon had once again been at the end of her crimes, his hands holding the victim as he could do nothing else.
Tsuru couldn't take it any longer, crying silently at the sight, "I'm sorry... "
Evira wasn't an enemy to her, wasn't supposed to go through this if Tsuru could have done it a different way.
She snapped her fingers completely disappearing from the sight and into the lamp, as Evira took her last breath. A paper appeared in front of Tsuru, much like the contract before.
"You have gained a mortal life. Do you wish to use your original body or have a completely new life?" That was all the paper said as it disappeared. She had waited for something as simple as that for millenniums.
"I chose a new life." She stated as her chains started breaking apart. Setting her free from the prison, eyes growing wide, she remembered her deal. Hurring to snap her fingers trying to revive Evira, but she couldn't see her from the lamp and only had faith things worked out.
"Did it work?" She questioned before everything turned black, things unknown to her...
