The Genie's Curse

Chapter 47

Tsuru was left locked inside the car while Keir waited for Keme to arrive. Time was ticking and Keir was losing what little patience he had left.

A car stopped just a bit away. And as expected Keme stepped out of the car, but to everyone's surprise two people stepped out along with him.

Keir put up an amused smile on his face, "You must be Keme. I don't believe we've had the chance to meet before."

Keme didn't bat an eye at him, holding the lamps in his hand, "And I would have liked to have kept it that way. Hand them both over or you won't be getting anything."

He was loving this, seeing Keme so sure of himself, "Well I could give you Allon... but I don't think Tsuru will be going with you."

With those words Keme instantly looked at the car, seeing Tsuru right there, "Then I guess we should go for a ride and talk this all through." Without even an order the people behind him shot the people with Keir.

Keme returned the cocky smile and brought out his own gun to point at Keir, "You're an immortal not invulnerable. So you can either listen to me, or I'll have fun shooting you every time you get back up."

Raising his hands in the air Keir didn't move and cursed under his breath. Getting Allon some help, Keme went to get Tsuru himself.

"Are you alright?" He asked, opening the door to get her.

She looked up at him with worry, "We need to steal the lamps he possesses."

Keme laughed, "I literally just got here, had to get the lamps in case things didn't go as planned. And here you are already telling me what to do."

"Well I'm sorry. But he's bringing another generation of genies and I won't let that happen." She stepped out of the car and pressed her hands together tightly, "... what if he does get a new generation... even if you don't care about those people. What will happen to us? There's no going back in the lamp if another genie is in there for all I know."

He bit his lip analyzing her words, "As long as he doesn't have ours he doesn't seem to be able to bring a new generation, so just calm down. We're going on a ride."

Keme grabbed the keys for one of Keir's cars and sent the woman accompanying him there with Allon. Ordering her to get him to their meeting area. And he went ahead in the driver's seat having the man he brought along in the back ready to shoot Keir if anything was to happen.

Keir crossed his legs and regained his cool, "So what do you two plan to do? Tie me at the bottom of the sea? Send me flying to the mood, none will keep me dead."

Keme looked at Tsuru and they both kept quiet for a minute. The silence in the car was heavy, and soon enough they were making it back to the city.

"What are you a kid, giving me the silent treatment." Keir continued as he carefully eyed the man beside him, attempting to spot his gun.

"Where are the lamps?" Tsuru asked him, turning to look at him from the front seat.

"Somewhere." He said looking back at her so she wouldn't notice his strategy.

She rolled her eyes at him and looked at Keme whispering, "Where are we going?"

"I've got an area where to meet up. Allon will be treated there for his injury and him... I'll deal with him." He whispered back while keeping his eyes on the road.

None of them said a word, and the man besides Keir was starting to let down his guard. A naive and mortal human, he thought of catching sight of the gun.

Keir was swift and slipped it out of the man's pocket, proceeding to have a struggle with him. Tsuru and Keme heard and she tried to help out. Turning in her seat but too late as the trigger went off blowing a hole on the man's head.

Keme lost control over the car for a second, clashing against another car but not stopping. Keir pointed the gun at Tsuru, freezing a second.

She managed to grab the gun but Keir only pulled her towards him and trapped her in between the seats. Keme stopped the car making Keir lose his balance. Before he could do anything else Keir had pulled the trigger, going through the seat and through Keme's chest.

Tsuru screamed and moved to try and put pressure on the open wound while Keir got out of the car. Opening Tsuru's door and pointing the gun at her.

"Get out of the car." He demanded.

She didn't even answer him and kept trying to help Keme. His blood was gushing out quickly and he was having a hard time breathing.

"GET OUT TSURU! I'm giving you a last chance... don't be stupid!" He yelled.
