Chapter 16: Under the Rubble

As the dust cleared off, everyone frantically looked around

They couldn't see them anywhere

"Nathan?! Ryan?! Min?!" Everyone shouted

They could hear muffling coming from under the rocks and knew they were still alive

"Everyone stays here! We're going to free them" Buck said as he, Manny, Diego, Shira and Kai were going down

The rest of the group stayed where they were

Buck, Manny, Diego, Shira and Kai jolted their heads towards the sound of muffling coming from under the rocks

"Hold on, we're coming!" Manny gasped as he hurried over and carefully pushed the rocks away and saw Min, Nathan and Ryan lying down on the ground

Min had a black eye while Nathan and Ryan seemed to be fine

"Careful, guys" Buck assured as he and the others helped them out

"Whoa! Min, you ok?" Kai asked worriedly

"Y-yeah, I'm cool" Min smiled as he held his thumbs up

"Min!" Keevah yelled from above

"They're ok!" Sid and Brooke gasped happily

"Come on" Diego said as he and the others walked back to the rest of the group

"Oh, my goodness!" Brooke gasped as she finally saw Min's black eye

"Man, what was that?" Crash asked

"Coincidence?" Eddie guessed

"Well... I don't think that was a coincidence at all" Noa replied as she felt suspicious about this

"Me too... let's just be careful, better safe than sorry" Keevah agreed as she stood by Min's side

"Ok, let's move it!" Buck announced as he walked upfront while the herd followed him

Noa looked back at the cliff as she narrowed her eyes, feeling suspicious about it, but brushed it off

Nathan and Ryan also felt suspicious about it

"What do you think? You think someone's following us?" Ryan asked

"I don't know, let's just watch our backs" Nathan suggested as they walked

Back at the cliff, Morana and the gang got down and watched the herd that was far ahead of them

"Yep, one has a black eye and those other two seemed unharmed" Scott mumbled as he glanced over at Morana

"Yeah, it was worth the time" Morana smirked devilish

"But now we have to travel for a day just like them" Cavin sighed irritated as he barely could feel his paws

"Oh, don't be such a big baby!" Leo hissed

"Silence! Let's go, we have a long way to go!" Morana growled as she walked with the others behind her

Meanwhile at the Mountain of Hope, the cubs were getting a little cranky

The cubs were crying for food as Roger and Gertie didn't know why they were crying

"Why are they crying?" Roger asked

"Maybe they're just tired" Gertie replied as she held them in her arms and gently rocked them, but it didn't help

"I don't think they are" Roger replied

Just then, Gavin came back with a smaller dino-bird in his claws and it was already dead

"How about this?" Gavin smirked as he placed it on the ground

The cub's crying immediately stopped and sniffed the meat, they giggled happily as they ate it

"They we're just hungry" Gavin said

Roger giggled awkwardly as he stared out at the sky

"I hope they'll come soon" Roger sighed as he added

"They probably miss each other so much"

"Yeah, but they're safe her with us" Gertie assured her little brother

"Indeed" Gavin agreed while the cubs were already finished and were happy with full bellies
