"About time you two showed up!" Andy yelled from the large booth in the back of Joe's Bar. Maya started to come up with an excuse, but her best friend saw right through it. "Don't think about lying to me, DeLuca. Based on that fresh hickey on your neck, I know exactly what you two were up to." Carina laughed hysterically while Maya immediately blushed. She reached her hand up to her neck and rubbed it over the dark mark Carina had left during their rendezvous in the clinic office.

"Oh, shut up, Herrera," Maya said when she regained her confidence. "Don't make me bring up what I walked in on last week." The blonde stuck her tongue out between her teeth and raised both her eyebrows.

"You wouldn't dare," Andy said with a voice full of sass.

Just as the friendly tension built, Vic interrupted everyone with a tray full of shots. The couple slid into the booth as Vic handed out the tequila shots, salt, and lime. Carina leaned over to Maya and whispered, "This reminds me of our first time here."

Maya licked her lips in remembrance, then she laughed at the reminder of everything that happened that night so many years ago. "Do you remember the light post?" Maya asked.

"Si, bambina, how could I forget?" Carina giggled. Then she leaned forward and whispered, "Do you remember what you saw in the back room?"

Maya looked at her two friends, Jack and Andy, who were now very much in love. However, six years ago, that was far from the case. The captain thought back to the heartbreak and pain she felt when she saw her closest friend sneak away with her ex-sex buddy and then lie to her about it. She shook away the negativity and said, "I am so glad we are past that. Look how happy they are now." Carina and Maya both glanced over at the newly engaged couple and smiled at the loving affection they showed one another.

At this point, the DeLucas had taken so many tequila shots together that their routine was second nature. They never cared about the crowd that surrounded them and the team ignored it at this point, anyway. They licked one another's neck and dabbled the salt along the wetness, licked the salt off the other, cheersed their drinks with the group, threw them back, and then took the lime out of the other's mouth.

The alcohol immediately made itself known in Carina's system. She gripped her wife's thigh under the table and nuzzled close to her. Maya looked at her, with lust in her eyes, and asked, "Are you good, love?"

Carina kissed her wife's rosy cheek and responded, "Never better."

The team talked with one another for a few hours as more and more drinks were poured and passed around. Their lives had significantly changed over the last five years and it wasn't often that they got to casually sit together over drinks and catch up. Time ticked on, but the conversation never stopped flowing. However, after a few more rounds, sleep started to catch up to the tired team.

"Uhh, who is taking Hughie home?" Dean asked as he held her drunken head in his lap.

Travis stared at Dean and glanced over at his boyfriend, Emmett. "Not my turn," he said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Maya laughed and said, "Looks like it's you, Miller."

Vic lifted her head slightly and raised her hand to Dean's face. She rubbed it slightly and offered a drunken grin before she laid it back down and passed out. Travis and Emmett left shortly after, and so did Dean with Vic thrown over his shoulder. Ben had left an hour ago to meet Miranda after surgery, so now it was just the two couples.

Carina snuggled in close to Maya's side and looked at the love-struck couple across from her. "I remember our engagement like it was yesterday," she whispered in slurred words.
