A week had passed since Maya had unleashed the entire truth about Laura to Carina. So far, it seemed like Carina had completely forgiven Maya for her past actions, something that the blonde was eternally grateful for. Maya understood that it would take a little time to completely gain back the trust of her wife, but she was prepared to do anything to make that happen.

Their trip to Bora Bora was still set to occur in two weeks and next weekend was the boys' fourth birthday party. So, this weekend the family decided to take it easy and relax at home. That was until they heard a loud screech come from the pool house.

The DeLuca boys and moms were seated at the kitchen island eating breakfast when they heard the scream. Josie, of course, was still tucked into her warm covers fast asleep. Maya's eyes flashed in horror as she sprinted to the backdoor towards the pool house. Carina trailed behind her after getting the boys settled back down.

The captain busted through the door without knocking. "Is everything okay?" she asked, out of breath. Alicia and Molly were huddled around their laptops and hardly noticed their company. "Helllllo?" she asked again.

Carina joined Maya's side and whispered, "What's going on?"

Maya tried to take in the sights of the two teens to get a better understanding of the chaos. Dumbfounded, she said, "I honestly have no idea."

Without looking up from her laptop, Molly said, "They emailed us the link to see if we got accepted to UW. We are too scared to click it."

"Ahhh," Carina said, now enlightened with the truth.

The wives walked into the room and sat down at the small kitchen table. "So, are you going to open it?" Maya asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Too nervous," Alicia whispered.

"Oh come on. You two are the brightest young ladies I know. UW would be dumb not to accept you," Carina assured them.

Molly looked up from her screen and towards her girlfriend. "On the count of three?" Alicia shook her head in agreement. "One. Two. Three..."

They both clicked the link at the same time and glanced up at each other. Within seconds, huge smiles were plastered across both of their faces.

"Yeah?" Alicia asked.

"Ahhhhh!" Maya yelled happily as she realized that both girls were reading their acceptance letters. The teenagers jumped on the bed and grabbed hands and cheered loudly as they thought about their futures together at UW. Both girls felt like this fresh start at a new university could set the tone for the rest of their lives together.

Carina stood up and clapped her hands together. "Well, we must celebrate!"

"Oh no, no, you don't have to do that," Alicia argued.

"Oh, we insist!" the Italian stated. "Stay tuned for plans, but keep your night open. Si?'

Alicia and Molly jumped off the bed and wrapped both of the moms into tight hugs. "Thank you... for more than you know," Alicia whispered. Carina kissed the tops of both teen's heads while Maya, the shortest of them all, was squeezed tightly between them.

They pulled apart and allowed the girls to have some time to themselves. The wives walked hand in hand inside and chatted about the apparent party they were hosting that night. So much for their quiet night in.

"I was planning on opening up the pool today with June right around the corner," Maya stated. It was a beautiful late spring day in Seattle. The forecast predicted high 70s and throwing the party tonight would be a great way to christen the swimming season.
