I never thought that they will agree to my suggestion. When they all nodded their head and said that they haven't tried it before and it could be a great opportunity to try something new, we've all come together.
On our way to one of the abandoned places we all agreed to go to, we met a local there who initiated helping us to tour around. When we gather and said how much we could pay for his service, he rejected our offer and the money itself.
Though our group decided to invite him to some of our trips and thought that would be a good idea.
The local guy, Manny, tours us around to three of the abandoned places. For us, it wasn't hard for us to get by and look out for the things we needed since someone can already tell us what to do, and thanks to this lovely local.
"I'm glad you suggested this trip, Heather," Lexie said.
I smiled. "As I am. I don't know what comes into my head. I just found it online and thought that it could be an interesting thing to do. To tell you honestly, I'm not really an outgoing person. I'm an introvert. I always keep myself out of the crowd. I don't want to be the center of attention."
"Oh... nice to know that from you. I also know some of my friends who are introverts and they only get along with those people who they already knew and that's fine. And Heather, you keep on surprising me, huh?"
I giggled. "I'm also surprising myself because of this. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it... but here I am now. I'm doing something impossible."
She patted my shoulder. "Well, if you have the quote that says that the word impossible already says 'I'm possible' so I think that's a good quote to keep in mind."
"That's the first time I have heard of it. So, thank you."
"No, problem. We've still got a lot of things to do so be better to prepare yourself. It's gonna be extreme."
When Lexie said that, I've become a little nervous, and hesitation somehow resided in my chest. But with all these little steps, I know I'll make it into the end. I'm gonna finish off my bucket list.
Just don't let fear win and I can conquer it all.
