GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
I know you're trying to do what's best for Heather and don't want to take orders from anyone but yourself alone. But make sure that if staying was good it should make you happy because if it doesn't, somewhere out there was your kind of happiness.
Do something that can make you satisfy those things that matter to you. YOURSELF alone. You should prioritize yourself above anything else. Do what makes you happy and leave all that isn't necessary anymore.
If you were worried about your savings, maybe for some it is easy to let go and easy to do what is right. But. But. You can still have fun while doing your work just don't forget that you need to take care of yourself too.
And for Heather, do you think it is best for her to stay inside her comfort zone and be limited to what she can do? We always want the best for anyone and in her case, we want to see her grow and all things she can do. Because if you already choose to reject, you already stop growing.
