Oh, jeez, I've been gone for a long while. Sorry about that! Can you believe that I haven't updated this book since 2019? And a lot has changed since then. My days of being a teenager are long gone and I have matured significantly. My nineteenth birthday is quickly approaching, keep an eye out for January 13. In other news, I graduated from high school in 2021 and now attend a local community college! I am currently pursuing my dream of becoming a professional writer/author. Though it isn't easy, I have worked on this goal since I was in sixth grade and won't stop anytime soon.
I have encountered quite a few challenges due to the pandemic, as have many others. During my senior year, my mental health began to deteriorate significantly and I began seeing a therapist. Although this may be a personal matter, I feel a sense of pride from this small step. On the other hand, this pandemic has allowed me to form new interests and rediscover old hobbies. I began listening to many great bands such as The Rascals, Strawberry Alarm Clock, and The Cowsills. I 100% recommend you all give their music a listen. It's seriously that good, trust me. My love for The Association is still strong, as you can probably tell from my profile. They're my favorite band! Also, in a strange sense of high school nostalgia, I began listening to The Animals again. Throwback to the old me, lol. I still listen to The Lovin' Spoonful and The Beach Boys, although not as much as I'd like. The same applies to the other bands in my bio (except The Cherry Hill Singers, I listen to them a lot). Moving aside from my musical interests, I began watching a fantastic show called Adam-12 on MeTV. Given that it involves police officers, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I do find it interesting. The show was released in 1968 and stars Kent McCord & Martin Milner (from Route 66). It's embarrassing to admit, but I only started watching this show because I saw a comment mentioning it under an Association video on YouTube. Someone compared Kent to Ted Bluechel (my favorite member of The Association) and I knew I had to watch it!
Anyway, let's move on to my hobbies! Due to the pandemic, I had many opportunities to bake and took advantage of them all. I won't lie, I had some successes and some failures. Despite my cake baking prowess, my cookies were a bit dodgy. I tried making spritz cookies for Christmas and it was a mess! However, I saved the day with simple peanut butter blossoms (peanut butter cookies with Hershey's Kisses in the middle). Apart from baking, my other hobbies were reading and writing. I bought Russ Giguere's book in 2020 and I'm still trying to finish it. It's a must-read for fans of The Association! In terms of writing, I'm currently working on music one-shots and a single chapter Adam-12 fic. That fic will most likely be posted on AO3 since the Adam-12 fanbase is stronger on that site, but we'll see. Additionally, I'm trying to work on the stories I have uploaded here, but I'm not sure if I will update anything else in the near future. My schedule is crazy due to college, but I'm trying my best!
