I was looking through all my CDs and couldn't help but listen to them. As I listened to them, I noticed that many songs sounded alike. Here's a list of songs I think sound very alike plus songs I think are copying from another song.
WARNING: I DO NOT INTEND ON SPREADING HATE! This is just my opinion, you may disagree if you like.
● Planetary (GO!) by My Chemical Romance and Music Again by Adam Lambert.
Just from the beginning, these two songs sound very alike. Is MCR copying Adam Lambert? What do you think?
● Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us by My Chemical Romance and The Kids Aren't Alright by the Offspring.
Okay, so the beginning riffs are the only thing that sound similar. I just couldn't resist putting this on the list!
● Kids of Yesterday by My Chemical Romance and Kids by MGMT + Whatsername by Green Day.
A lot of My Chemical Romance, huh? I have a feeling if you put Whatsername and Kids together, you'd get Kids of Yesterday.
● This is How I Disappear by My Chemical Romance and Strength of the World by Avenged Sevenfold + Dancing Dead by Avenged Sevenfold + Clairvoyant Disease by Avenged Sevenfold.
If you put all those Avenged Sevenfold songs together, you could possibly get that one My Chemical Romance song. I dunno. What do you think?
● Thank You For The Venom by My Chemical Romance and Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold.
The beginning riffs sound very alike. You know what else sounds like Unholy Confessions? Knives and Pens by *shudders* Black Veil Brides. I'm sorry, but I do not like them.
● Pain by Hollywood Undead and Summer Shudder by AFI.
Before I start this mini rant, I'd like to say that I do not own a Hollywood Undead CD and I do not hate Hollywood Undead at all. I just needed to add this in ever since my sister showed me the similarities between these two songs. Anyway, let's begin this rant.
I hate to say Hollywood Undead is copying AFI, but in this case, they kinda are. The chorus' of both songs sound exactly like each other. The placement of the screams/yells are exactly the same. Even the placement of the guitar is the same! Hollywood Undead, you've got some explaining to do!
