A/N: I know I'm thinking way ahead, because I never plan out my chapters, but I've wrote my last chapter in a word document, so that I can work on it, so even if these chapters are really bad, stick around until the end because I'm working so hard on it, thanks a lot x

Chapter Fifteen: Amelia's POV: The Party Proposal
"Jake, no, I'm not a party type of girl." I demanded.
"How do you know? I bet you've never been to party! Besides, Leila and the boys have all agreed!" He retaliated, defensively.
"Don't make me do this, please. I won't even know half of the people there, I don't even know if I feel comfortable being in Caleb's house."
For the past thirty minutes, Jake had been pestering me into attending Caleb's party tonight at his place. I couldn't think of anything worse than being shoved into a crammed house of drunk, sweaty teenagers with music blasting out my brains until early morning the next day. I don't even get why Jake wanted me to go! I'm boring. He'd have a lot more fun without me, because I'm like a guardian to him, basically. To top it all off, the army of Jake girls would demolish me if they saw me anywhere near him at that party and I'm pretty sure Mindy in particular would have something to say about it.
"Live a little! It won't even be that busy, okay?" He badgered.
"On one condition," I stated, resting my arm on the kitchen countertop, "You don't leave me unaccompanied for one second!"
"You drive a hard bargain," He rolled his eyes sarcastically, "But fine, if it will make you come, then yes, I'll not leave you."
"Promise?"
"I swear!"
"Why is it so important to you that I come, anyway?" I asked, curiously.
He froze, and looked me up and down. Was he blushing a little? No, he wouldn't be, it must've just been a little touch of sun burn or something. You can't get embarrassed over such a simple question.
But there was another hurdle. What to wear. I spent my existence in only leggings or jeans and comfy tees, I didn't know what to wear to a house party! Casual? Flirty? Classy? I was praying that it was the first one, because I owned nothing flirty or classy in my wardrobe! There was only one person who could help in this sort of situation. So I dialled their number, into my phone and waited for the reply.
"Hi, what do you want Amy?"
"I need your help, Leila. I have nothing to wear for tonight's party!"
"Fashion emergency? No worries. Hang on, I'll be right over there."
One of very many reasons as to why Leila will forever and always be my very best friend- she's constantly there for me, no matter what the issue is. I just had no style at all. A day has not passed where I've decided to not wear my comfies; what's the use in dressing up when you have nowhere to go? I didn't fancy a dress, because I feel as though my legs are a little too short to look good in one, and I don't suit skater skirts either for the same reason. I had not one pair of heels, just my flats and sneakers. However bad the crisis may be, she'll have a solution to it.
Although it was only half past four and Caleb's party began at around eight, I needed something to pass the time on until Leila arrived, so I perched on the stool facing my vanity mirror and plugged my straighteners into the nearest socket. My hair was really irritating. I straightened it almost every day, and occasionally curled it, because it's just so awkward! It isn't curly, wavy or even straight. It's just an awkward in-between.
