The Most Unlucky Day Ever!

It was now one of the first days back to school, The 6th of January 2022. Again, Jay, Matilda and Dave, were on their way to school once again. So, they sat in the train, and played Geometric Run like they always used to do. Despite the loud blasting music from the three of their phones, nobody complained on the train, everyone was so used to it, they had found ways to somehow not be able to hear the music at all. Some wore headphones, turned the volume on max, and listened to some calm music. Some decided to just go to the back of the train, The Three Travel Buddies were always near the front. Some just ignored, it was probably the most simple way in my opinion. I mean, if you really have nothing doing on the train, it doesn't really matter about the noise does it?

Anyways, like always, The Three Travel Buddies were on the train. Matilda decided to look up from her phone, and saw from out of the window that it was raining outside. The train was at Silver Street, and so, being only one stop away from their alighting spot, Edmonton Green, she decided to open her umbrella. In advance. Inside the train.

As you may know, it is rumoured that if an umbrella is opened inside, it causes severe bad luck. And despite knowing this rumour, Matilda did so anyway, but not without poking Dave in the eye while doing so.

'Ouch, that hurt!' Dave exclaimed.

'Well shut up and deal with it' Matilda remarked.

'Wait...Did you open an umbrella?' Dave asked.

'Of course I did stupid! Are you blind?'

'Well partially, because you kinda poked that thing into my eye'

'Good point...'

'Where were we...? Right, opening an umbrella inside gives you bad luck, Matilda!'

'Oh, that silly rumour? Don't be so stupid, it's just a silly myth'

'It really isn't, Matilda...'

Matilda shook her head. No way this rumour was true. ..... Right...? Dave was so stupid, he even forgot his own name (a bit exaggerated, but you get the point.... Hopefully...) , no way he could be speaking the truth.... Matilda decided to put this rumour aside, they all walked over to the school, and the first lesson was Music.

The Music Department in this school was located outside the main school building, it was a different building in itself. And due to this, while waiting for the teacher to arrive, you had to figure out a way to keep warm while waiting at the door in the cold. This time, instead of trying to keep warm, some of the students became intrigued over a small ice pond nearby, and began to kick it, causing small shards of ice to scatter around. Some decided to take a chunk of ice off the river itself, and had a little frisbee contest with them. Simon was practicing his throws, until inevitably, Matilda got in the way, and was hit on the head by the chunk of ice. Dave noticed her first.

'Matilda, is everything alright? That must've hurt...' he said.

'Of course it hurt, you idiot!' Matilda shouted. 'But on a serious note, I'm fine, Dave'

'Maybe it's the bad luck thing... I told you it'd take it's toll...'

'It was just coincidence Dave, don't you worry about it'

Despite Matilda's words of comfort, Dave knew that this was not ending well.

The next session wasn't actually a subject, it was Break Time. Every break, the school would let you get snacks at the lunch hall, and the main snack you could get was a slice of pizza. So Jay, Matilda and Dave got into the line and waited. Many people pushed into the line, but really there was noting much to do about it, as there was too much of a crowd for the teachers to notice this. Jay and Dave then purchased their pizzas, but then someone pushed into the line, taking the final pizza meant for Matilda.

'Matilda, I told you it was bad luck...' Dave said.

Matilda simply just gave him an angry glare, and left.

(I know we don't usually do this but here we go)

A few days later... On the phone...

'So Matilda, how'zit going in hospital?' Dave asked.

'Mate, I am having the best time right now! No Geography, no History, nothing! Forget bad luck, this is the best luck I've ever had!'

'If good luck to her is getting injured, what the hell is bad luck going to do to her?' Dave thought. 'And what would happen if someone gave her a four leaf clover...?'

'I guess there's only one way to find out...' Jay said, with a menacing tone.

'How did you read my thoughts...?' Dave asked, perplexed.

Jay simply chuckled and left the room.

THE END

You know what, I don't even want to know what Jay's going to do to Matilda. But whatever it is, as long as it ends badly, she deserves it, nobody likes Matilda. Well the Matilda in real life at least. Anyway, please leave a vote, it really helps!
