Recently, a new Extracurricular activity had been opened for after school, and this was music. Many people decided to join up, as every person who joined would gain one point for their house, and at the end of the year the house with the most points would win a trophy.
Matilda, Jay and Dave were in 'Amundsen' House. Their signature colour was a pale light blue. Their House was named after one of the previous Headteachers who had worked at the school, obviously having the name Amundsen. Amundsen didn't really have too good of a reputation, they hadn't won the trophy in quite a while now, and Jay, Matilda and Dave were determined to change that. And so, they decided to join House Music.
House Music was after school, and started at 3:20, ending at around 4:00. As soon as Jay remembered that House Music was after school, he said that he couldn't attend, he had climbing lessons to do. Matilda was utterly confused, she was wondering how Jay managed to do climbing without being clumsy and plummeting to the ground, and asked for an explanation. Jay replied 'Climbing is when you climb to the top of a wall'. Thing is, the environment was pretty loud and Matilda mistook it as 'Climbing is when you climb to the top of a mall'. She then shouted 'Just use the escalator! Wait, never mind, use the lift!!!' Jay was utterly confused about this, and just decided to leave.
The atmosphere in House Music was pretty much the same. Chaos and Noise. 3 Six formers, Max, Destiny and Jen were leading the club. Max was continuously shouting 'SHUT UP!!!' to all the members of the group, but to no avail, looking as there were around 60 people in that room at the time. Jen was desperately trying to get out the music stands and percussion instruments, but found it difficult trying to weave her way through Double Basses and Cellos. She was definitely the most discontented by getting hit in the face by Dave's trombone that he was swinging around. However, when she began raging at him, she noticed that Dave began to cry, and decided to continue on with her job. Destiny was delivering all the music sheets and trying to get everyone in their rightful places, Brass Section on the Right, Percussion in the middle, Woodwind to the left and Strings to the front, but that didn't seem to work, as everyone really wanted to stay alongside their friends.
Matilda decided to just play Geometric Run while all of this was going on. She decided not to turn the volume up, the place was too loud already. Dave however decided to document this whole event and so began to record.
'Right, here we are at House Music and....' Dave began.
'I don't even know why you're here, your musical talent is horrific' Matilda shouted, cutting him off.
Dave decided to prove Matilda wrong for once, and began to play a tune on his trombone. It was called 'Just A Closer Walk' by Don Gillis. Matilda, despite the noise and her ignorance, managed to listen to Dave's trombone playing, which was actually probably better than she could ever do on the piano. (That's probably why she decided to play percussion over the piano). After Dave finished, you could see a little look of surprise on her face, she seemed impressed by Dave's performance, but the look vanished almost as soon as it came as she shrugged and continued playing Geometric Run on her phone. Dave smiled, he was happy that Matilda was impressed with his performance, it was so rare that Matilda would actually acknowledge his presence positively, let alone be surprised by what he was able to do. Dave then decided to continue on his documentary as people began trying to read the sheets of music put in front of them. (For some reason it was still loud...)
'So here we are at House Music!' Dave began again. 'Hello there Paul!'
Paul gave a wave to the camera, he was sitting on Dave's right.
'Paul, you don't seem to have an instrument...' Dave informed.
'Yeah, I'm only here for the biscuits they're gonna give out' Paul replied.
