Storm Franklin Goes Terribly Wrong

As you may all know, Storm Franklin and Storm Eunice have been wreaking havoc all over the UK, causing damage, travel destruction and even deaths. (Sorry to all those who have been affected by the storm BTW). The rain has been pouring, and the winds have been howling. The skies are grey and the weather is chilling.

Well, this applied to everyone. The Three Travel Buddies, despite their obliviousness, even managed to notice the storm. The storm was very hard-hitting, and reached every corner of the UK.

But if you weren't in the UK, you wouldn't feel a thing.

Luckily for Edward, his family had gone on holiday during the half term, but they had somehow gotten themselves stuck where they were staying, because Covid 19 is unfortunately still a thing. So, anyway, Edward was let off for this one.

Alright, back to it, Jay, Matilda and Dave were leaving the school, the winds against them. Matilda led the group, she was the strongest of the three. Dave then came second, making long strides, taking his long legs to his advantage. Jay came last, being the weakest and clumsiest of them, and continuously backtracking to pick up his hat, which constantly blew away by the wind. Apparently his hat is his 'emotional support', so he had to wear it at almost all times, which is why he decided not to put in his bag to avoid all the hassle. I mean, his bag was pretty full anyway, there wasn't too much that could actually fit in there anymore.

Jay stuffed everything in his bag. He had every single subject book in there, including the old ones that he no longer needed, and the Year 7 irrelevant Science Textbooks. As of this day, he also had his PE bag, filled with all his kit. He also had his packed lunch, pencil case, tons of scrap paper, his water bottle, his reading book, and tons of other stuff that'd take forever to mention. Jay was carrying quite a burden. If you were to weigh this bag, it'd probably break the scale. It's so heavy, that Jay would probably find it easier to hold a 10kg weight than his bag. Honestly, if he can carry a bag like his, he should be the strongest of the group...

But thing is, he wasn't. He just simply didn't understand how to apply his strength in the correct way, and besides, he was far too clumsy.

Somehow, The Three Travel Buddies made it to the station. But, to Jay's utmost horror, he had left his lanyard at the school! Right, this is the 43rd time and counting!

So Jay made his way back, this time the wind on his side.

However, back at the school, Jessica, Angel and Athena had yet again noticed Jay's lanyard.

"Again? How many times has it been now?" Jessica asked.

"Don't ask me to count..." Angel replied.

"Well we might as well take it again," Jessica said.

So, they took the lanyard, and began to make their way to the station.

As anticipated, they soon bumped into Jay.

"What are you doing here Jay?" Angel asked.

"Well, I left my lanyard at the school, so I'm going to get it back," Jay replied, trying not to get pushed along by the wind.

"Don't worry Jay we have your lan-" Athena began.

"Alright then," Angel began, putting her hand over Athena's mouth before she could finish. "Hope you get your lanyard back!"

"Thanks, I'll be off!" Jay said, now running off.

"I wonder when he'll figure out that we have his lanyard," Jessica pondered.

"He'll be proper mad," Angel commented.

"Why'd you make him go all the way back?" Athena asked.

"It's his debt for us. We've saved his lanyard countless times! He can't even be asked to pay us for our work!" Angel exclaimed, over the howling winds.
