{woah I finally updated..Sorry it took so long}

Charlie's POV
I was just laying on my bed for an hour or so until someone knocked on my bedroom door.

I got up and opened it to see Hayes.

"Hey, uhm, dinners ready." He says.

"I'm not hungry." I lie.

"Well you have to eat soo.." He trails off.

"Fine whatever." I say and we walk downstairs.

I sat next to Nash and Will and Hayes were across from us. Nila and Chad were sitting at the ends of the table.

We ate in silence for a few minutes until Nash spoke up.

"So Monday is your first day of school. You ready?" He asks.

"Nope, not at all." I say.

"Don't worry. I'll be there, and so will your brothers." Chad says.

I just nod.

"Do you know what classes your going to take?" Will asks.

"Probably just the easy ones." I say.

"What? Why?" Nash asks.

"What do you mean why? I'm not good at school, I just take the easy stuff." I say.

"We'll discuss the class issue on Monday. I'm having your old school from Seattle send me your transcripts from the start of middle school to now. So we can see when your grades started dropping and in what classes." Chad says.

I just nod.

"Well this has been exciting. But can I be excused?" Hayes asks.

"Sure sweetie, go ahead." Nila says.

"Thanks. Oh and I have a book report due Monday and I still need to read the book. So don't bug me until tomorrow." He says before leaving the kitchen and going upstairs.

I let out a small laugh at his dumb excuse.

Once were done eating I go outside and sit on the porch.

"Hey." Someone says.

I turn around to see Will.

"Oh, hi." I say.

"You okay?" He asks sitting next to me.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I ask.

"Well believe it or not, brothers talk. Nash told me you got upset earlier." He says.

"He told me he wouldn't tell anyone." I mumble.

"Huh?" He asks.

"Nothing. Did he say why I was upset?" I ask.

He just shakes his head.

"Good." I say and he drops the subject.

"So I haven't really talked to you today." He says.

"Yeah I know. It's a pretty awkward situation." I say.

"How so?" He asks.

"I don't know. Like moving across the country. Like I've been alive for sixteen years and your dad has never even tried to contact me. Like he said my mom wouldn't let him talk to me or whatever, but if he really wanted to see me he would've tried a little harder. Don't you think?" I ask.

"Well first of all he's not just my dad. He's your dad too. And second of all he may not have tried in the past, but he's trying now. And that's all that counts." He says.
