Chapter Seventeen

Charlie's POV

It is currently 6:30m on this awful Monday morning and I'm getting ready for my fun filled day at school.

I put in my school uniform and head downstairs to see my brothers, Nila and dad in the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie." My dad greets.

"Mornin." I yawn grabbing a glass of orange juice.

"Okay kids so today is a busy day. Nash you have a lacrosse game tonight at 7, Charlie you have practice right after school then a tutoring session and Hayes-" Nila starts.

"I don't have anything tonight." Hayes reminds her.

"Are you going to Nash's game?" Dad asks him.

"I don't know, sounds kinda lame.." Hayes says.

"Just go support your brother." Dad says.

"Yeah support your brother." Nash mumbles with cereal falling out of his mouth.

"Charlie go get your lacrosse bag and meet us in the car." Dad says and I nod.

I quickly go up to my room to grab my bag along with my school bag and walk back into the hallway, running into Hayes.

"Ouch! Watch where you're going!" He shouts.

"Sorry I didn't know you were up here." I roll my eyes.

"Yeah yeah. Anyways I just came to tell you that I can't cover for you Friday." He says.

"What? Why? We had a deal!" I say.

"Well I'm going out with Jordyn, sorry." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Whatever it's fine." I say and walk by him going downstairs and joining Nash and my dad in the car. A few seconds later Hayes joins me in the backseat and we're off to school.

Once we get to the school I immediently spot Matt and Cameron in front of the school. I also see Carter standing by his car.

I wanted to go talk to Matt, but Nash was already making his way over there. So I decided to go see Carter instead, just to talk about tutoring since we have it today during school and after school.

"Hey Carter." I smile walking up to him.

"Hey Charlotte. What's up?" He smiles back.

I roll my eyes as he uses my full name like always.

"Nothing I was just wondering if we could crop one of our sessions today, I don't really see a need for two." I shrug.

"Well you have a math test, science test, English paper and history review all due this week. I figured you'd want the extra help." He says.

"Well-" I start but then get interrupted

"Hey guys!" Someone says, I turn to see Matt and my brother.

"I'll see you later." Carter winks and walks off.

"Charlie what was that about?" Nash asks.

"I've told you before, its nothing." I say.

"If it's nothing why are you always talking to him?" Nash asks.
