Chapter Twenty

{who should Charlie be with, Matt or Carter? anyways the beginning of this chapter is for you Matt and Charlie shippers}

Charlie's POV

"Where were you two?" Nash asks right as we walk through the door.

"Chill out dude, it's not even 10 o'clock yet. We're home early." Hayes says confused.

"Charlie why weren't you with Hayes the whole time, like I told you?" Nash asks.

"I was." I lie.

"Really, then why is Cameron sending me pictures of you two, alone, on a date?" He practically shouts.

"That was my fault. I told Charlie and Carter to get lost, they were ruining the mood." Hayes lies.

"Besides him and Jordyn were right across the street at the sushi restaurant." I say. "And why was cam sending pictures of me anyways?" I ask annoyed.

"He's my friend. Why wouldn't he tell me my sister is on a date with some asshole?" He asks.

"Chill out, it wasn't a date!" I shout.

"Look at the picture and tell me what you think." He says tossing Hayes his phone.

"I mean if you didn't know what was going on, you'd think they were on a date." Hayes says.

"Let me see." I say grabbing the phone.

The picture is just of Carter smiling at me while I laugh. That's all. Once again Nash is overreacting.

"You're so stupid. We're just friends." I say.

"Just like how you and Matt are just friends?" Nash asks.

"That's different." I say.

"Nash just back off her, obviously nothing happened. And if something did, I guarantee if know about it." Hayes says.

"What makes you so sure?" Nash asks him.

"Carter tells me everything, he tells me about all his dates, about all his girls. He would've told me if something happened already, regardless if it's my sister or not." Hayes says.

"I guess you're right." Nash sighs.

"I know I'm right." Hayes chuckles.

"Sorry for blowing up at you Char. I just- Carter can't be trusted. He's not a good guy, and you being alone with him- I just get scared." Nash says.

"Why?" I ask confused.

"Nash don't bring it up." Hayes says rolling is eyes.

"You just never know what could happen." Nash shrugs.

"I'm going upstairs. See you guys in the morning." Hayes says texting on his phone and making his way upstairs.

"So when did Matt leave?" I ask.

"When he saw the picture Cam sent me." Nash says and I roll my eyes.

"I don't know what's wrong with that kid. I swear he's in love with you." Nash says .

"Well it doesn't matter." I say a bit coldly making my way up the stairs.

"Charlie." He says causing me to stop halfway up the stairs and turn around at him.

"Just drop it Nash. I'm tired of fighting, everything I say or do makes you mad." I say.

"Well maybe if you would just do what I asked I wouldn't be mad." He says.

"I don't have to listen to you. You're not my parent." I say annoyed.

"So what if I'm not your parent, I'm your big brother." He says.
