Charlie's POV

I woke up this Monday morning not even caring that it was early or that I had to go to school. I was in a good mood today, probably because of yesterday.

I got out of bed and out of my school uniform. The same kaki skirt and burgundy polo. I still have on the heart necklace I was wearing yesterday, I like wearing it. It reminds me of my mom. I slip on my vans then head downstairs.

Like always I was the last person downstairs. I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket on the counter, then sat  at the table with Nash and Hayes.

"Charlie when do you have tutoring today?" Dad asks

"I don't, but I do have practice after school." I remind him

"Yeah so do I." Nash adds

"Okay so I'll pick you two up after practice and Hayes will come with me." Dad says

"Actually since summer training for football is coming up some guys and I were going to use the weight room after school, that cool?" Hayes asks dad

"Yeah that's fine." Dad says

"Cool I'll have Carter drive me home." Hayes says pulling out his phone to text Carter I assume.

I finish my apple then go upstairs to brush my teeth and grab my lacrosse bag and my school backpack.

I make my way back into the hallway to go back downstairs when I'm stopped by Nash.

"So I didn't really talk to you last night. How was your date?" He asks.

"It was good." I say with a small smile.

"You think you guys will go out again?" He asks.

"I don't know, maybe." I shrug.

"What did you guys do?" He asks.

"What's with all the questions, I feel like I'm being interrogated." I say.

"I'm just curious, Matt didn't want to tell me about it last night." He says.

"We went and got food, played putt putt, got ice cream and that was it. Nothing crazy." I say and he nods.

"And he didn't make you do anything that you didn't wan-"

"Oh my god Nash no!" I shout annoyed.

"Hey I'm just looking out." He says raising his hands up in defense.

I just roll my eyes and go downstairs.

He's so annoying.

I walk out to dads car with Hayes and throw my lacrosse bag into the trunk, then go sit in the backseat next to him.

"So I heard Nash caught you and Matt making out." He says when I get into the car

"We weren't making out." I roll my eyes

"Whatever." He laughs. "You're still wearing that necklace?" He asks referring to the heart shaped locket around my neck.

"Yeah, I like it. I just want to get it opened." I say and he nods.

"Anyways, you know that English assignment we have? The essay about our family or whatever?" He asks.
