"I still won't marry you Tyler. Any son of Drake's deserves to burn. And you even said you were the enemy," she hissed.

The boy wagged his finger at her and said, "You know plenty well what I mean, Sylvia. And I came down here to make a deal with you,"

"You did? You really think I'll make a deal with you?" she asked him.

"Well, if you knew what I was offering, then sure. I know, I know you are probably wondering what I have that you would really want,"

"Yes. I am wondering, Tyler."

"Well, it's your freedom," he said. Sylvia didn't react. She knew what he would want in return. "And I will free you, but all I want is your hand in marriage, so I can rule both kingdoms. Can't you see? Anyway, it'll give you an excuse to dump that Trevor boy, won't it? You Never liked him."

"Tyler, you know Trevor is supposed to be my future husband. And first of all my dad arranged my marriage, I didn't." Sylvia said.

"I am about to turn twenty and your nineteenth birthday just passed," he continued, "so why not start off your nineteenth year fresh?" Sylvia thought about this option for a few moments. I'll only do it for my freedom and then I can save my tribe, she thought.

"Fine. I accept your proposal, Tyler West Herman," she said. "But that doesn't mean I'll like it,"

"Whatever you say, Mrs. Herman," he smiled. He tapped some buttons on her cell door and pulled out a weird shaped key. Sylvia was hesitant to come out, imagining a trap awaiting.

"Come on! We don't have all day," Tyler said hooking the key into Sylvia's steel band. As it flew off her wrist, she ran. She ran down the hall and through the door. As she ran through the door she morphed. Her beautiful blue-green wings sparkled in the early morning light. She had already took to the sky when she noticed Tyler run out and call after her.

"SYLVIA! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" he yelled. Sylvia ignored this and turned her head back around. She just concentrated on flying as fast as she could.

It was midnight before Sylvia came to her senses to stop for the night. She found a small cave in a mountain peak, just the right size for a young dragon. She went hunting before settling down for the night. She was parched and famished. She caught a mountain goat and three wild boars. She devoured the animals, for this was her first meal of the day. She took a long sip from a small, clear stream that ran through the entrance of her cave. She soon found herself curled up in that cold cave that was darker than the night sky outside. It was as if someone poured jet black ink in the air. When sleep hit her, she did not have peaceful dreams like she expected, instead they were horrible nightmares.
