Happy New Year

A/N: First of all Happy 2022! I hope everyone had a good Christmas and new years. Second - once this chapter is published I'll try and get a couple of Chapter's up every week to keep it in with real time. Also sorry this is only short!

New Year's Eve:

Alicia's POV:

Mam and Dad were working over new years so I was going to throw the kids a party. Me and Ethan drove to Costco and filled a shopping trolley with frozen pizza, sausage rolls, frozen Chinese and Indian snacks such as Spring rolls and prawn toasts, massive bottles of coke, lemonade and orange and apple juice.

"What are you going to make for Faith?" Ethan asked "She can't actually eat any of this and obviously you have to be careful of cross contamination"

"I'll go to Asda or Tesco and get her some Free From stuff, anyway she gave me a list of what to get" I said as we put in some stuff for pudding like profiteroles and mini trifles and then I made my way to the tills and loaded the stuff onto the till.

We loaded the stuff up into bags and put them in the boot and drove to the nearest Tesco's and brought everything that was on Faith's list of items she wanted me to buy. I grabbed a box full of party poppers and some plastic champagne glasses.

Later on about 5pm , Rachel's friends arrived each carrying a box full of things "Girls! You didn't have to bring anything" I laughed "We've got it all covered honestly"

Fran grinned "Our parents made us bring stuff. I guess as a thank you for all the times you've looked after us and fed us etc"

I helped them unload the boxes onto the massive foldable tables we'd got set up in the Conservatory "Wow, we've got enough food to feed an army here. " I laughed

"Why don't we invite Chelsea and Ryan over. I mean it's not like we don't have enough food?" Ethan suggested catching Skye by the neck of her t-shirt as she almost collided with the food tables as she tried to run away from Sadie who was chasing her with a balloon.

"Great idea Ethan. Girls, what has Mammy told you about running in the house?" I picked up Skye and she cuddled into my neck

"Not in the house Mammy" Sadie said rummaging through a box to find some bubbles

Suddenly Spice girls started blasting through the house "RACHEL! TURN IT DOWN!" I shouted

"SORRY ALICIA!" She shouted back from the living room

I went into the living room with the Girls and Ethan. Rachel was trying to set up the Karaoke machine, the doorbell rang "I'll get it, it'll be Hugo!" Rachel dashed off to answer the door

When they walked back in, Ethan pressed play on the stereo and a song by the Bleachers called Let's get married started playing "ETHAN!" Rachel shouted and blushed beetroot red

"Baby ignore him. One day it'll be me singing that song to you" Hugo kissed her cheek and placed an arm around her waist

I put Sadie and Skye down for a nap at 7pm once they'd had some food so they could stay up and see the new year in with everyone. I walked into the living room to find Rachel , Grace and their friends playing some version of Spin the bottle with a box of dares "I don't mind you playing party games but i draw the line at this, Faith and Emma might be 16 but that's no where old enough to be playing spin the bottle, and anyway Hugo is outnumbered so it's not fair. Find something else to play but quietly because Sadie and Skye are having a nap" I picked up the bottle and made Faith hand over the box of dares.

"Alicia, don't be a killjoy, it's not like we're asking Rachel to let Hugo snog us all!'" Faith said and Rachel hit her with a pillow and inched closer to Hugo

"It's okay Rachel, we know Hugo is off limits, not my style anyway" Fran smirked "Why don't we play Would you rather, I got it as a Christmas Present"

"Good idea Fran. Rachel, do you want to sit any closer to Hugo, you're practically on his lap?" I laughed

I handed out the plastic champagne glasses filled with a small amount of champagne topped up with orange juice to the older girls except Rachel who couldn't drink on her medication and Chelsea and Ryan, The little ones and obviously me being pregnant i couldn't drink and Ethan had Straight Orange Juice.

10..9...8...7...6....5...4...3...2..1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!" We all shouted

At the stroke of Midnight, the three couples shared a midnight kiss "GET A ROOM!" Faith shouted cheekily

"Oi madam . Just because you're starting the new year off Single doesn't mean you can judge us happy couples" I laughed
