Christmas Eve Continued

we sat at the traffic lights on red when all of a sudden a drunk driver crashed into the side of the car . I awoke with a jolt panicking because i couldn't breathe , mam must of stopped the car because i could just about make out her face swimming in front of my vision before i went light headed and blacked out...........

Faiths  POV
i just had the most terrible dream i was on my way home from the cinema with my family when a drunk driver drove into the side of our car and caused it to flip over and caused me to black out. I know this can only have been a dream because the next thing i know i woke up in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask over my face "w..what happened why am i here mam "
" you blacked out after a panic attack so we brought you here just to be on the safe side , now that you're awake i'll get Zoe to check you over and hopefully you can come home , i mean what happened Faith you haven't had a panic attack since you were tiny i thought we'd got them under control did you forget about taking your anxiety meds when you feel an attack a coming on ."
" Sorry Mam i forgot i'll remember in future , i had a horrid dream i dreamt that we were involved in a car crash and the car flipped over "
Now it was Dads turn to chuckle at me " Come on then you horrible lot let's get you home oh yeh Faith you missed a lot whilst you were out like your mam went into full panic mode when you blacked out yes she finally dropped the ice queen exterior you should of seen her but in her defence you did look so frail and helpless there lying on the bed "
He finished is sentence only for mam to take of her heels and chasing him all the while us kids chanting " Go Mam Go Mam go get him mam ". I swung my legs off the bed and held onto Rachel's proffered arm thankful that i had so many siblings grabbed my coat and shoes from the twins who were using my shoes as boats. We made our way out to the front of the hospital where mam and dad were waiting for us in the car, thankfully this time Mam sat in the back with me to keep on eye on me mainly because i had a gash on my forehead from where i blacked out .

"Mam i love you and i'm sorry to have caused you so much bother especially with it being christmas eve"
" It's okay baby you haven't caused anybody any.....JACOB WATCH OUT" Mam screamed as a car drove into the side of the car as i blacked out for the second time that day........

Third Person
"Alright everyone this is one of ours this is Connie Masters mid thirties involved in a high speed RTC approximately 20 minutes ago , GCS is 12 extremely drowsy BP 70 over 180 morphine given on route complaining of extreme pain in her shoulder suspected dislocation "

Connie was taken straight to resus where she was hooked up to the machines and Jacob waited for the kids to be brought through . Faith and Rachel were brought through with just broken wrists and ankles so they were plastered up and given crutches and then Hannah and Grace were brought through with a torn liver and mild concussion so Hannah was prepped for immediate surgery then finally were the twins who managed to escape with just cuts and bruises. Alicia and Ethan

"This is Faith and Rachel masters they have a gcs of 15 throughout and bp is normal Faith has a broken ankle and Rachel has a broken wrist but not her obvious injuries there are four more kids on their way in aged from 3 to 8 "

" Okay this is Grace and Hannah masters , Hannah is complaining of severe stomach pains and Grace has a headache which could be concussion ."
" This is three year old Emily and Jack masters they are twins no obvious injuries cuts and bruises treated on route"

Alicia's POV
we got home before mam and dad so we sat down and i started to feed the twins who were becoming increasingly hungry when Ethan got a phone call he walked back in after coming off the phone. " Alicia you may want to put the twins down that was your Dad on the phone there's been an accident a drunk driver crashed into them on the way home don't worry there all fine except Hannah who has gone for surgery on her torn liver so she'll be staying in over Christmas she'll have a private room being your mother's daughter , your dads gonna bring the rest of the kids home from the hospital and your mam's gonna bring Hannah home after her surgery tonight "

I couldn't believe what i had been told i was distraught i couldn't believe that my family had nearly been killed because of a drunk driver on christmas eve as well . Dad brought the kids home about an hour ago Grace and the twins escaped with minor injuries and Faith got a broken ankle so she's in plaster so she can't go back to school till that's off and Rachel has broken her wrist . We've decided that we'll spend christmas here instead of at Charlie's this year and he'll come to us instead to prevent hassle really because the kids are going to be shook up after this i mean they nearly lost mam and grace in the crash and then they nearly lost me as well such a lot to go through in the space off a year .

About 8 on the night Mam brings Hannah home she's got a dislocated shoulder but as per she's brushing it off as nothing .  We are trying to create some form of normality so we start the christmas traditions early to kids all go up to their rooms to find brand new pyjamas that Santa has brought them even Sadie-Belle and Lacey-Mai have new baby grows with cute little matching booties then we all cuddle downstairs and order a takeaway this year it's KFC my choice for finally being part of the family then once that's eaten we each pick a present to open , mines from Hannah and Jo and Jesy got presents from the twins and i got some of my favourite perfume and the twins got some toys . At 9 we take the kids and tuck them into bed but not before they insist on leaving out two drinks for Santa the traditional glass of milk and then a glass of fizzy pop and some cookies and a carrot for the reindeer.
