Alicia's POV:

I finally had a day off after working two weeks of night shifts consistently. Ethan had taken the girls to school so it was just me and Sienna, I decided to go into town and finish off my Christmas shopping so I got her ready for the day and we headed into town. I parked the car in the mother and baby bay and got her car seat out of the car, thankfully we had one of those prams where the car seat attached to the base so it was less kerfuffle. I headed into Mothercare and picked up a few items for Sienna for Christmas including a cute cardigan with bear ears, a baby grow with little sister on and a burgundy cord dress with thick woolly tights. I picked up a bauble for the christmas tree with My First Christmas 2022 on it as well, i got a few other bits for her as well including a playmat and some finger puppets. I headed to the tills and paid for my items and hung the bag off the pram, Sadie and Skye were having a shared christmas present this year- they'd been begging me and Ethan all year for a dolls house so we were buying them The LOL surprise dolls house , i'd ordered some small presents for them to open as well so they were all sorted. I'd brought Mam, Dad, Ethan, Chelsea and Ryan a small bottle of perfume/ aftershave as their presents so I just had to buy for the rest of my siblings. Rachel and Faith were getting clothes and makeup off Mam and Dad so I headed into Lush and brought them both a gift set each, Grace had developed a talent for art so she was getting some art supplies from Mam and Dad for Christmas along with some other things but I knew she would probably also like a lush gift set so i placed another one in my basket. I paid for my purchases and headed into boots, I picked up a Frozen kids' makeup set for each of them and a box of Encanto themed bath confetti for both of them too. I headed into Smyths and brought Hannah, Emily and Jack a small lego set each- For Hannah i brought her a Pet Adoption Cafe set, For Emily i got her a Theatre school set and Jack a super mario set. I checked everyone off in my head and then headed back to the car. I was driving home when my phone rang- I connected it to the Bluetooth in my car and answered it.

"Hello?" I spoke

"Alicia, it's me Rachel. I need a favour" She answered

"What kind of favour Rachel. What have you done this time?" I asked

"It's not that kind of favour- it's more advice. It's for one of my friends" She said

"Well can you at least tell me why this friend needs advice?" I asked

"It's about Mia- i can't tell you why but can she talk to you please?" She pleaded

"Of course she can. Tell you what, bring Mia back to the house with you. I'll get Chelsea to keep hold of The twins and Hannah for a bit so it won't be too noisy for Mia" I said "I'll meet you at home once i've collected Sadie and Skye"

I hung up and finished the drive home. I pulled up at home and pulled my car onto the drive- I hurried up the drive and unlocked the front door, i dumped my bags down in the hallway and grabbed Sienna's car seat from the car. I collected Sadie from school and Skye from pre- school, and gave them a quick snack before shepherding them into their playroom upstairs so I could give Rachel's friend some privacy.

Rachel and Mia arrived home from school and I took them into the living room. Mia sat down on the edge of her seat and she looked so nervous that my heart constricted at her nervousness. "It's okay sweetie, you can tell me anything. I promise I won't judge you"

She gulped and took a gulp of water from her bottle. "I'm pregnant" She whispered "I haven't told my parents yet.. Only Jake, Rachel and a few others know. And my teachers obviously"

I took a hold of her hands in mine "Oh sweetie. Have you decided what you want to do? Obviously as you are 18 I can't make you tell your parents but I would advise you to tell them because it will make things easier in the long run. I'm glad that you've got a good support network behind you. Do you know how far you are?"

"I'm 11 weeks and 6 days. I've got my 12 week scan on Friday. I don't know what to do... My Parents will probably try to make me have an abortion but I don't think I want that..."

By the time she went home, I'd managed to convince her to tell her parents. I offered to be there with her but she said she could do it on her own. She said she was going to tell them tonight when she got home and was going to ask them to come to her 12 week scan if all went well.
