"Is this person very smart?" Yelena asked her expression being entirly serious and concentrated
Kate held her card with both her hands and responded equally serious "Yes"
Yelena took a second "Does that person work alone?" she asked and Kate nodded
"Yes" Yelena mumbled some inaudible words as she tried to crack this puzzle
"Does this person go by some title that isn't related to what they do?" she asked making Kate fidget uncomfortably with that spot on question. She could tell Yelena was connecting the pieces.
"Yes" she gulped uncomfortably
"It's doctor strange!" She exclaimed and Kate nodded in defeat
"Yes!" she cheered and poured a shot for Kate "Drink up!" she urged and Kate obeyed throwing her head back and gulping her vodka. She winced when she tasted the bitter liquor and Yelena clapped with the tips of her fingers watching the brunette downing it.
"How are you so good at this game?" Kate asked in disbelief. "I barely found 2 people and you didn't leave a single card untouched!" she raised her hands in surrender.
Yelena chuckled. "What can I say?" she said in a cocky manner "I'm just that good"
Kate smirked and sighed. They had being playing trivial for some time now. The loser of each round would drink a shot. At first it was more of a win to drink. But it started getting exhausting as she kept on losing and swallowing shot after shot. Yelena barely touched her glass and was mostly on bartender duty.
"Okay enough with this game" Kate announced and Yelena protested
"Oh come on! We barely even played!" she whined
Kate wasn't having it though. She'd end up with alcohol poisoning if she kept going with this game "Let's just play something else. I'm bored of this"
Yelena's plan to go home with the vodka and drink away all her thoughts and feelings had actually worked pretty well. Kate could confirm as well since the thick atmosphere around them had dispersed a long time ago and now the only thing surrounding them was the warmth od the alcohol. The idea to play something instead of just drinking like losers was also hers and it covered up her plan perfectly. She wasn't exactly certain about switching things up because so far the odds in this game were almost entirely in her favor.
Yelena mumbled something under her breath and Kate only glared at her. The blonde rolled her eyes "Alright. What do we play?" she asked
Kate sat back and pondered. She comically tapped her index finger on her jaw and when an idea dawned on her she pointed it up almost like she was exclaiming "eureka"
"Let's play truth or drink!" she proposed though it was more of a statement
Yelena scowled "Really? That's what you want to play?" she asked and sneered.
Kate drew her brows "Why not?" she asked and raised her arms protesting "It's a classic"
Yelena sighed "Well it's boring" she spoke her mind "We could do something that's more entertaining for both of us"
Kate arched her brow "Why do you think it won't be entertaining?" she inquired
Yelena shrugged "Isn't it obvious? We just ask some probably very unseemly questions and drink because we don't want to answer them" she deadpanned "What exactly is fun about that"
Kate smiled daviously and kept her brow raised "Unless you have secrets, this game is fun" she leaned closer to Yelena and wiggled her brows smuggly "And if you answer the right questions, drinking is as damning as responding. Wanna play and find out?"
