Cassandra.
Feeling free at last I hummingly open my cottage window and feel the cool morning breeze kissing my face as if wishing me a good day and I know deep within myself that it will be, this day would be.
Im in a known resort staying in a lovely cottage that has a wonderful overview of the majestic sun and its beautiful bay. I feel like I'm in a vacation instead of a seminar and its quiet nice that the association had planned a grand event like this. Its pretty cool to have a break. Well, I really needed a break. I smile as I throw my hands in the open as I feel the breeze. Freedom atlast!
With full vibrance I haven't felt for sometime I readied myself and then moments later, feeling presentable for the seminar and the ambiance I walk away and went into the venue. Its not a really a long walk from my cottage especially if your admiring the beauty and the peaceness of the place. Its quiet nice, the pathways are white fine stones crafted in the bermuda grass and the plants and flowers are finely arranged in a thorough manner. The pool were large but unlike usual pools theirs were designed like a nature replica of a falls, the water is flowing and they use plants and smooth stones in the area. They also put those stones under and from the look of it I bet that a lot of it were not cemented under, making a lot of swimmers dive and pick the stones and put them back again. I guess the diving part was just for fun since the pools center at a rough estimate is at least 9-10 feet deep. Obviously kids have their own mini version and a very cute one.
I continue my walk and arrive at the venue. It was a spacious cottage that looks like a native function hall, it has no airconditioner just wooden and classic ceiling fans and chandeliers with open halls with just white almost see through curtains finely laced in blue ribbons that keeps the division. The tables and chairs were designed in blue and white too and the place just looks more of a reception of a wedding rather than a venue for seminar except that there's no cakes and flowers inside just plants that adds to the peaceful decor of the place. Its so relaxing.
The coordinator must have been so insightful to provide a different scene for a seminar, replacing the boring one with the relaxing and more interactive one. I should really congratulate whoever he or she is.
Excited I took a seat for myself located almost at the back and sided corner of the room a perfect point for me to see a good over view of the entire place. Im weird or just a loner maybe thats why sometimes or often times when Im alone, I usually observe people in my surrounding and watch them talk or chitchats or do stupid things, it makes me see a lot or it makes me see a story different than mine.
I wonder, who of my colleagues could have attended the same seminar? Some of the people already here are older or younger than me and makes me think if some of my batchmates or old colleagues could have attended this seminar.
"Nice to see you here." I almost jumped with the familiarity of that voice and almost feel dread and horror as I try to turn my head and look at him. Geez! I was referring to colleagues before not now.
"Y-your here?" I stutter looking at him in disbelief.
He smile at me warmly and settle down beside me.
What the hell?
"Yeap. .obviously. .You just cancel the event making me free this weekend. .So here I am." He said in a very normal tone but almost arrogant and sarcastic to me.
"well. .glad you came. Welcome aboard then." I simply said trying to be calm as possible.
He really have his way in ruining my day. Ha! And to think that this whole seminar is good for four days, and I even wished for it to last a month! Preposterous.
