Camilo and I finally arrived at my house and thank the miracle Pepa calmed down by the time we got here because I was dreading having to move my stuff inside.C- "Sooo señorita ciencia, what exactly do you need my help with?" He says while looking around grabbing random objects off the table and messing with it.
K-"You my friend are going to help me- don't touch that.- fix the camera while I work-put that down thats very fragile!-*sighs in Spanish* while I work on something else. Me entiendes?" He nods intensely grabbing something else to mess with.
C-"Gotcha...2 questions though.1 I don't know what's wrong with the camera and 2 what are you going to be working on?" He watches me while I start grabbing the parts necessary to finish my project.
K-"Let me see the camera and this is something I'm restoring for Antonios ceremony."
C- "Restoring?" He ask while handing me the camera.
K- "Yeah I found it in a thrift shop in one of the cities outside of the Encanto" I gesture toward a huge jukebox on the floor next to my desk. "It was pretty run down but I had the materials to fix it and thought we could use it for Antonios after party. Plus it already comes with a bunch of records so I figured it was a no brainer!" I open up the camera only to find its missing film. I chuckle to myself.
K- "Well this should be a piece of cake." I open one of the drawers on my desk and pull out a roll of film. I toss the camera and film back to him.
K-" I trust you know how to replace film?"
(P.O.V Switch up)
Karla asks him while crouching down to open the jukebox.
C- "Yeah duh."
Camilo replaces the cameras film and to test it he points the camera at Karla. Before taking the picture he stops to admire her form. Hyper focused. Eyebrows furrowed in determination. *click* The flash from the camera adorned her features, illuminating them. She turned her attention to Camilo who had a stunned look on his face. He didn't expect for the cameras flash to be that bright. She stayed silent for a few moments staring at him with an unreadable expression until breaking out into a laugh.
K- "You know, if you're going to secretly take pictures of someone then next time try turning off the flash." She chuckled at his unwavering expression. Her eyes going wide when he shifted uncontrollably from him to Mirabel, to her, and finally resting at a slightly deformed him. she snorted at the sight. Turning the other way as she tried to control her laughter but to no avail.
K-"Ay Dios mio, Camilo! Fix your face!" Camilo can only form a fools smile forming a blush on his face. He liked seeing her laugh, sometimes snort. Although she wasn't completely stoic sometimes being able to see her loosen up without having the burden of being the smartest in the village on her shoulders was a sight.
While Camilo was lost in thought Karla took this opportunity to return the favor that started this whole scenario. She took the camera from his hands and took a picture of him. The flash snapped Camilo out of his thoughts and he focused on what was happening in front of him. Karla was holding up the camera with a mischievous smile on her face. Shifting back to his formed face he smirks as he reaches for the camera. Pulling a stunned Karla to his side.
C- "Ehh? You wanna play that game fine, since we're taking pictures why not take one of us together." He faces the camera towards the both of them, holding it at a high angle. Karlas face formed into a deadpanned expression knowing he got her. He smushes both their faces together and takes the picture. He pulls away to look at the product.
C- "What with that face?" Camilo laughed and showed her the final product. Karla only chuckled and let out a small smile.
K-" Que? That's my face. You don't like my face?" She teased him as he stashed both pictures into his ruana. He nodded a no.
