Just maybe huh? She scrunched her eyebrows in frustration.

Karla mindlessly walked to Mirabel's room. She walked in still in deep thought as she paced the room racking her brain for answers. To what thought?

K-"Miraaabellll! I need your hell-donde estas?" When she looked up Mirabel wasn't there.

M-"Down here!" A hand stuck out from under her bed. Karla raised a brow. She then laid on her stomach to look under the bed. She found both Mirabel and Antonio.

K-"Um ok. I'm not going to ask. Hey Toñio."

A-"Hey!" They waved to each other before she turned to Mirabel.

M-"So what's up?" Neither bothered to move from their positions.

K-"I need your opinion." She looked at Mirabel with a serious face.

M-"Ok about?" Karla grimaced at the thought. She sighed and rested her chin on her hand.

K-"Boy troubles. Your emotional intelligence is what I need right now. I believe I am experiencing attraction to..." She looked at Antonio and decided to not say his name. "..a certain jovencito. I need help in making a decision." Mirabel nodded, understandingly.

M-"Ok, so what does Señorita Lógica say?" Karla dipped her head into her arms and then quickly lifted it back up again.

K-*INHALE* "She says that I'm too busy for a teenage romance. I have studies, I have the chores at home, I have my obligations to the village, on top of that I need to make sure I take proper care of myself and those around me. Also is it really wise to start a relationship at this age? Especially when you're young and going through hormonal growth! It could honestly just be infatuation, which is not a good base to start a relationship on. In any case it's going to bring a lot of distractions, in which I do not have time for." *EXHALE* She looked to Mirabel who layed there contemplating. She then looked at Antonio who just stared at her with his huge innocent eyes.

Great. Ranting to a 5 year old where is your sanity. And about his older brother no less. Her attention was turned back to Mirabel who had cleared her throat.

M-"Ok you ready for what I think?" Mirabel smiled comfortingly and Karla just nodded.

M-"First off. You're working too much. I know you have your goals but like you said you're pretty young you have your whole life ahead of you. Your expectations for yourself are insanely high. Just relax a bit. And why are they so high anyway?" Mirabel looked at her and Karla could only try and formulate an answer.

Because they're not my expectations. They're your Abuelas. I want to help people the way you guys do but I can't because I don't have a gift. I'm trying my hardest to catch up but my efforts are futile. My theory is if I meet your Abuelas expectations, I can prove that I can be as helpful as your family! Even if its not expected of me.

Karla looked at Antonio and her eyes softened. She doesn't want to worry the two, especially a young child who shouldn't be burdened with the complexity of the adult world.

K-"I'm just trying to gauge my limitations so I can expand them in the future. If I meet these now, it would be easier for me to meet them in the future." Mirabel looked her in the eye and could tell she wasn't being honest but decided not to push the subject.

K-"Ok so I should try to work less from now on, thanks for that. Now what was the second thing?" She changed the subject.

M-"...Right the last thing was just don't think.".....*blink*...*blink*. Karla stared at her best friend of 11 years with no expression.

K-".....bye." She started pushing herself across the floor but got pulled back by Mirabel.

M-"Nonononono no. Hold on what I meant was you're used to letting your thinking guide your actions." She squinted at Mirabel to see if she was serious.
