Mirabels Best Friend (Camilo x OC)

The Tower

M, C -"Wait what?!" "No way, Tio Bruno?! How!?"

Karla hurriedly shushed them, quickly looking back and forth between them and the barn door.

K-"I said it was a theory! I mean think about it! Your tio Bruno is the only person who knows the contents of that vision. He knows what happens to the Miracle, Casita, all of it. And if what he saw was as terrible as Luisa said it was then maybe we don't know the real reason of why he left. Look I know it's crazy but this whole situation is crazy. There's a lot we don't understand right now and we have to be open to a lot of things if we want to get to the bottom of this."

Silence danced around the room as the three teens all thought deep about the possibility. Mirabel was the first to break the silence.

M-"Yeah this is pretty crazy UGH!" She says idles her hair in exasperation.

M-"Man ok I'm in! Let's go look for tio Bruno and his vision!"

Karla and Mirabel nodded determined but Camilo was less convinced.

C-"Um what? Are you guys sure about this? This is tio Bruno we're talking about, we don't talk about him for a reason! And well I don't have so much fond memories of him!"

He crossed his arms in an anxious state. The girls looked at him puzzled.

M-"Well we're gonna have to start talking because he could be the answer to all this. We'll be careful, it's good that we're a group right now. Safety in numbers right?"

K-"Agreed and I don't know what you remember but he was nice to me, a little awkward sure but nice. Trust me I think more people were scared of his gift than of him and if you're scared you have me and Mirabel to protect you."

The girls snickered as Camilo scowled at them. He waved them off and puffed out his chest.

C-"I'll go because I don't want anything happening to you guys but I think this is a very bad idea."

They laughed and hugged him tightly embarrassing him a bit. They broke off with smiles. They all shared a knowing look some more wary than others.

K-"So.."

M, C-"To Bruno's Tower."

-Timey Skippy to sneaking through Casita-

The teens all wait by a hallway for Abuela and Isabella to pass.

Camilo is the first out of the hallway somersaulting to the door before signaling to the girls that the path is clear. The girls just walk past him rolling their eyes. 

K-"Ay Camilo. Levántate de ahí! This isn't Mission Impossible!"

Only response she gets is a shrug as he continues to skeptically glance around.

M-"Ugh ignore him, let him have his moment."
Mirabel says as she turns the doorknob and pushes the door open to reveal a sand fall.

C-"Soo what now?"

They watch as Mirabel runs her hand through the sand. A toucan flies in and perches on Camilos shoulder. Karla notices and takes out one of the collars she made separately from Antonio's gift.

M-"Casita...Can you turn off the sand?" She looks back to see Casita flipping her tiles to say no.

K-"Casita cant help in the rooms. They're a separate magical space with the only connection being the door."

Mirabel nods and look back at the sand fall.

M-"So the question now is..whose going first?"

M, C-"Not it!"
