Mirabels Best Friend (Camilo x OC)

As they walked past Karla and Camilo, Karla could see the anxiety written on Mirabels face. The confused and intense stares from everyone only made her grow more nervous. Mirabel looked over and saw Karla. Karla mouthed the words 'Be Strong'. They both tried their best to give a comforting smile. After a few more steps they finally reached the top of the stairs and Mirabel moved to the side. Abuela starts her speech and Antonio goes to reach for the handle. Now Camilo's grip on Karlas hand tightens. She gives it a reassuring squeeze and they all wait to see.

The door lights up and a toucan flies to Antonios hand. The bird caws at Antonio.

K-"Esperate, don't tell me...." Camilo looks at Karla confused and Antonio speaks to the bird.

A-"Uh-huh, uh-huh, I understand you." Camilo looks back at his little brother shocked. The bird seems to start conversing with Antonio and Karla lets out a chuckle.

K-"Well my gift has been rendered useless." She says to herself with mock annoyance.

A-"Of course they can come!" The bird squawks loudly into the distance. Karla quickly covers her head for fear of being pooped on or used a landing perch.

It took me 43 minutes and 25 seconds to get my hair to stay down. I am not taking this chance.

Bords start flying in from above and a variety of animals start scurrying into the house by land. A capybara bumps Karla hard into Camilo who almost got knocked over his tia Julieta next to him. They both steady themselves and Karla looks over to the capybara who bumped her. The capybara just struts away onto the stairs sitting itself next to Antonio, giving her a dirty look.

Y yo que hice?

Everyone watches as a carved image of Antonio surrounded by animals appears on his door. Karla is pulled along by Camilo to the bottom of the stairs to get a better look.

Alma-"We have a new gift!" She declares and everybody cheers. Antonio opens his door and the room starts to form itself. Everyone follows and when they see the room it enormous. A huge treehouse smack in the middle of it. Karla is astonished, she has never been in anyone of the Madrigals rooms besides Mirabel's.

Karla and Alejandra-"ITS BIGGER ON THE INSIDE!?" They both exclaim. Camilo laughs at her reaction and she just stands there aghast. She turns to him.

K-"How come you've never showed me your room?" She ask him in a curious tone. Camilo stops laughing and gets flustered.

C-"Well- I uh- because you've never asked!" He turns to hide his blush. Karla shrugs still admiring Antonios room.

K-"Fair reasoning." Loud bounding steps are heard from behind the 2 of them. Karla quickly pulls Camilo by his hand to the side to avoid any injuries. It turns out to be a leopard and it was heading straight for Antonio. It picked him up and gave him a ride all the to the top fo the tree. The leopard stopped and Antonio was thrown over a ledge. Karla had already observed the room from top to bottom, knowing there was hammock below him gave her some comfort. But he bounced out of it into a waterslide. Panic rose though out her body and tried to move forward but was stopped by a hand in hers. She looked back to see Camilo watching his little brother having the time of his life in his new room. Unaware of the fact that they never let go from when she pulled him back. She stared at their hands before returning to her position besides Camilo and watched as Antonio used a snake to fling himself into the air. The leopard caught Antonio in mid air and they both raced down back to where everyone was.

K-"Ay milagro mio!' She sighed in relief to see he was in one piece. She let go of Camilo's hand and rushed over to make sure he was really ok. Camilo laughed and shifted into Karla. He reached Antonio before she did and dramatically shook him.
