Vinnie's pov

"Up you get," someone yanks the sheets away, letting the cool air wash over me sending chills down my back.

"No," I grumble and blindly reach for my sheets.

"Vinnie, it's been a week. You've barely been out of your room. I think your fans are about to absolutely lose it," Thomas tells me.

"Man, it's too early for this shit. Can I have my covers back?" I try to reach for them again but fail.

"It's almost five o'clock. Get up, we're filming a video and there's people downstairs that wanna see you,". With that, he leaves my room leaving me here to freeze. Why does Michael always insist on living in arctic weather.

I groan as I sit up and rub my eyes, blinking a few times and lazily moving to sit on the edge of my bed. My eyes land on my gaming set up but they quickly shift to the small bag that's been sitting on my desk for the past week, completely untouched.

I'd have to do something about it eventually, so I may as well get it over and done with. I reach over to grab it and place it in my lap.

I look at it for a moment and only feel more like shit when I get a glimpse of what's inside.

I pull the small piece of sticky tape off of the middle part that was holding it together and open the bag. There was a small letter with a few other things inside.

Hi Vin,

I heard that you're not feeling good so I thought these would cheer you up a bit :)

you're amazing

— maddy xx

Well, fuck me. That's not making me feel any better.

I put the letter aside then pull the first thing out of the bag— another note with a little handmade bracelet taped to it. I pull the note off,

I made this last night and was going to give it to you this morning but I forgot it on my desk oops.

(sorry if it's too cheesy)

(you don't have to wear it)

— your forgetful girlfriend

I put the note beside me on top of the other one and pick up the bracelet. It was made out of blue and white thread that had been braided in some fancy way that looked like it took a while to make.

A small smile creeped onto my face as I play with it between my fingers.

I think about how she was probably sitting at her desk or on her bed making this as she does that twisting thing with her lips whenever she's concentrating.

I slowly slide the bracelet over my hand until it fell loosely around my wrist.

As I stare at it, I can't help but think about everything that was going on. I haven't heard from her in over a week— no one has. She hasn't been active on anything.

She's even ignoring Kouvr, Mia and Michael and I thought they were getting pretty close.

I understand why I'm not getting anything— it's obvious (plus I haven't even tried to reach her), but the others didn't do anything wrong.
