vinnie's pov

I walk into the living room and instantly the boys start their dumb shit.

"Any scratches on your back?" Michael laughed.

"Damn, Vincent look at you go," Colin held his fist out for me to pump it but I just look at them deadpanned.

"I walked in just after it, thank god," Alex laughed making them all laugh.

"Shut up, really just shut up," I snap.

"Woah, Vinnie relax," Thomas raised his eyebrows, holding his hand out.

"We didn't do shit, I didn't invite her here to do that. And now she's upset because Alex made a whole scene out of it," I hold my hand out in the direction of my room.

"What did I walk in on then cause now I'm confused," Alex said with widening eyes.

"I thought it was a funny idea to play strip geoguesser. But Alex, man really? Why'd you need to say all that," I groan, tilting my head back.

"So she's really not just some hookup?" He asked scratching the back of his neck.

"No, I don't even do that anyway," I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Wait, is she upset? Why?" Thomas asked.

"She mentioned her ex and this must've triggered something," I shrug.

"Fuck, should I apologize?" Alex asked.

"Well, she wants to go home but I'm just going to try and convince her to stay and then I'll let you know," I tell him then walk back to my room.

"Mads?" I push the door open a bit and see her sitting on the edge of my bed resting her head in her hands.

She looks up at me and fakes a smile, "I overreacted," she sighs and stands up.

"No you didn't, I get why that would upset you," I close the door and walk over to her.

"Alex wants to apologize. He knows that you're here as my friend and nothing else. He was a little confused about the game though," I tell her. She lets out a little laugh and looks down.

"Stay for a bit?" I ask.

She looks back up at me, "okay," she nods. I smile and wrap my arms around her neck and rest my cheek on her head.

With my head on hers, a smell of subtle sweetness filled my senses.

"Your hair smells like strawberries," I tell her as I take a dramatic sniff of her hair making her laugh and try to push me away.

"Mums conditioner," she tells me.

"Ah, very nice," I nod.

There was a knock at the door which made me turn around with my arms still around Maddy, "yes?" I ask.

The door slowly opens and Alex walked in, "Hey guys," he slowly says.

"Hello, Alex" I reply.

"Hi," Maddy sounded like she was trying not to be awkward. She pulled away from me and held her hands behind her back.

maddy's pov

"Maddy, I'm sorry about before. What I said wasn't okay and I didn't mean to offend you," Alex tells me, looking sincere.

I nod, "it's okay,".

He looks at Vinnie then back at me, "are you sure? I don't want us to be on bad terms. You're Vinnie's friend so that automatically makes you our friend too," he smiles. I chuckle and nod again, "Alex, it's fine. It probably did look a little odd when you came in here,".
