Penelope's POV

The week had flown by and my photo album was getting thick and my diary had reached halfway a few days ago. It was now Friday and I was currently laying in the grass in the background, waiting for the sun to rise.

When it came, it was as spectacular as all the rest I had born witness to. I heard footsteps approach me but I didn't bother to move. I was actually comfortable in this spot, even though a stone was digging into my foot.

"I have to ask. What is so special about the sunrises? I always see you watching them," Shacklebolt asked me.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"No, I'm used to waking up early because of work." He said, sitting beside me.

"They're just really pretty and the only thing you can guarantee will happen. When your life is in shambles and you don't expect to see tommorow, you tend to find something to hook onto. A vice, if you will." I explained, sitting up.

"Hmm." Shacklebolt replied.

I stood up and walked over to the swing set. I sat down and took the stone that had stuck onto me, off and threw it into a flowerbed. I swung for a while, just relaxing as Shacklebolt watered the flowers.

"What do you fancy for breakfast?" He asked.

"Waffles." I replied. I wasn't even sure why I said it. It was just the first thing that popped into my head. Good job it wasn't something else, like say lasagne. At least waffles are a breakfast food.

"Sure, I'll get started now." He said, striding back to the house.

I swung for a while longer, thinking of nothing and letting the wind pick up my hair and play with it. I giggled as the wind pushed me higher and higher. Higher than I could have possibly swung myself.

I got off the swing after a while, feeling giddy and kind of dizzy. I walked into the kitchen and made myself a glass of water which I gulped down in three mouthfuls, hurting my throat.

There was movement upstairs, indicating Harry and McGonagall was awake now. I picked up plates and cutlery and started setting the table in the dining room. Kingsley came in with a plate of waffles and set it down along with a pot of sugar.

I waited until everyone came down before I started. I ate three and then settled back, feeling full. I watched the others eat and looked at the clock. It was nearly nine. I drank some water and refilled my glass.

The clock struck nine and there was a huge crash in the living room. I stood up and walked into the other room to check it out.

"Are we in time for breakfast?" Fred asked.

I giggled and hugged him.

"What are you doing here? And what do you mean we?" I asked.

My second question was soon answered as there were more people climbing out of the fireplace.

George came next, he just waved to me. Ron came after and he nodded at me before going into the dining room. Lastly was Hermione. She squealed and hugged me.

I held her tight and she held me with such strength that you would have thought it had been a month since I had seen her last, not a week.

"Merlin Hermione, you're going to squeeze the life out of her." Fred exclaimed, tearing us apart.

"Sorry." She blushed before following where Ron had went.

"So, what you lot doing here?" I asked.
