Fred's POV
I woke up in the middle of the night, thirsty. I walked downstairs and made myself a glass of water. I walked into the front room and saw Penelope sitting on the sofa, watching a muted teli.
"Hey beautiful, what you still doing up?" I asked.
"Couldn't sleep." She shrugged.
I sat down next to her and kissed her cheek. I drank my drink and looked at her. I knew that the real reason she was still up was that she was scared of going to sleep.
"So, what we watching?" I asked.
"We, are not watching anything. You are going to bed." She said.
"Not happening. Did you know Kingsley snores really loud?" I asked.
She chuckled and I smiled, pleased. It was kind of awkward having him share with George and I but it's better than having to sleep in the same room with McGonagall, like Hermione and Penelope were.
"I heard McGonagall wants to cut the holiday short, she's got a lot of work to catch up on and errands to run for Dumbledore." I mentioned.
Penelope frowned and I could tell that it was news to her. I hope she didn't feel left out that I knew and she didn't.
"But think about it this way, we get to start on having our alone time sooner and you can help me plan new pranks." I laughed.
Penelope looked slightly horrified about this which made me laugh more. Penelope quickly slapped a hand over my mouth. I looked at her and she pointed up to the ceiling with a worried look on her face. Ah, she didn't want to wake the others.
"When's your birthday?" I asked.
"Ask McGonagall. I don't know." She said.
Well there goes one idea I wanted us to do. I'll just have to ask McGonagall and see when it is. Then I can plan around that. We sat around for a while and soon the sun came up. I looked at Penelope, thinking that she'll want to watch it, but she was curled up, fast asleep with her thumb in her mouth. I smiled and layed next to her, closing my eyes.

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder and looked up to see McGonagall standing there. She looked at me and Penelope with a disapproving glance.
"Come on. We're going back to school now. We're going by floo powder. Go pack. I'll wake up Penelope." She said.
"We didn't do anything Professor. I promise. She was just scared of going to sleep, so I stayed with her." I said, trying to make her understand.
"I know Weasley. Just go and get packed." She replied.
I left the room and chucked my bits in my bag, making sure that I had all of my presents packed. I checked the bathroom and Harry's room for anything but didn't see any of my things. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs.
Penelope was gone from the sofa and it looked like I was the first one ready. I placed my bag on the floor and McGonagall waved her wand and it disappeared.
"You've used floo powder before?" She asked.
I nodded. That was how we got here. Although she had probably forgotten.
"Good. You're going to my office. Severus should be there waiting." She said.
I took the powder from her and threw it into the fire. I said my destination and stepped inside. I closed my eyes and then opened them again as I fell onto the floor.
