Chapter 14

-Jude-

It was finally Saturday and my nerves were exploiting, I was nervous to be with Riley while Anni was with Noah, I felt uncomfortable about that; also I wasn't sure if everything was alright with Noah and Andrew, I saw them talking at school as they usually do but I couldn't stop thinking about that.

It was a quarter to 12 and I was ready; I went to the kitchen to see what Nini was cooking, she was making meatballs and chocolate cake for desert. My parents weren't home, Anni told them about our double date and they decided to spend the day at the Club leaving us the house, they trusted Anni and I swore o to set the house on fire.

I heard the bell and told Nini I was going to get it, I opened the door and there was Noah with a bouquet of flowers, we froze like two idiots for a few seconds and then I said 'hi'; he said hi to me and I was about to shake his hand but he tried to hug me, we realized it and changed positions, this time he wanted to give me his hand and I was going for a hug, we separated again and just fist bumped.

How uncomfortable...

I let him in and closed the door, he scanned the room looking for Anni and turned his gaze to me again.

"Where's Anni?"; he said with a trace of shyness in his voice.

"She will be here soon"; we stayed in silence, this was the first time we were together alone at my house after our agreement, it was amazing how our behavior changed depending on the place and situation. "How is Andrew?"; I asked expecting to have some information.

"Good, we talked about it and he'll be fine..."

"Great..."; silence again. Before I could say anything else Anni came downstairs, she was wearing a short flower dress, her hair was tied on a messy bun and she was using the necklace that Noah gave her on her birthday, I noticed a twinkle in Noah's eyes when he saw her.

"Hi honey"; she said coming closer to him.

"Hi babe, you look beautiful"

"Thanks handsome"; she leaned to him and they kissed, they took their time so I looked somewhere else.

Why am I feeling upset?

"I brought you some flowers"

"Aww... You're so sweet..."; they kept talking and I was trying my best not to screw everything and run to my room, I knew what was my deal with Noah but I couldn't stop myself to feel kind of jealous. "Jude!"

I woke up from my thoughts and faced Anni and Noah again.

"Yes, I'm listening"

"Is Riley arriving soon? Do you know if she's having troubles getting here?"

"I don't know, I'll ask her"

"Riley is coming too?"; Noah asked Anni.

"Yeah, I forgot to tell you it's a double date"; Anni explained to him, I took out my phone from my pocket and Anni kept talking. "Jude insisted on doing it because he has a big crush on her and we have to help them get together"; I stopped what I was doing and turned my eyes towards them.

That was unnecessary information Anni

"Really? I didn't know"; Noah looked at me a bit confused and, I must imagined it, but I could sense a bit of sadness in his gaze too.

I was going to say something but the bell rang again and I opened the door, it was Riley.

"Hi Jude"; she bought me for a kiss in my cheek and entered without even waiting for me to say something. "I'm so sorry I couldn't arrive earlier, I had a little problem with the directions and I almost got lost but I made it"
