They had just woken up and had eaten their so-called breakfast which was barely enough to stop their hunger, they were given food on the first day of the week that was supposed to last them through the rest of the week. If you were to eat normally you would only have enough for about 5 days so yuu barely ate anything himself to make sure the others got more food and wouldn't get sick but of course, they still had to be careful with the food so they wouldn't eat it too quickly or they would need to go a day without food.

After giving blood they were given some weird sweet drink that was gross but it helped with the effects of blood loss and hunger.

They were walking to the place where they would need to come to three days a week to give away blood and yuu was way too tired for it barely being able to get up in the morning not having eaten anything for days other than the stuff they get after blood giving. His siblings except the youngest one Emily were already inside but because he was older his turn was later. His youngest sister always went together with him because she got scared and would end up throwing up he didn't know why but somehow it was allowed not that he was complaining.

She was nibbling on a cracker that yuu had given her in the morning it was actually supposed to be his food but he gave it to her instead seeing as she wasn't feeling too well and he hoped this would make her feel better.

Someone walked into them making yuu let go of his sister both falling to the ground. "hey! Watch where you're walking!" yuu had spoken before his mind had thought and he quickly realized that he should have stayed quiet for his younger sister. Both of them were lifted off the ground by their necks now looking into the red eyes of those holding them. "you think you have the right to talk to us like that? You are nothing more but life stock you should show some respect for us, we are letting you live here away from the outside world where you would end up dead and this is the way you speak to us?" yuu looked at his sister seeing as she was about to pass out and tears roll down her cheeks.

"put them down" someone walked up behind yuu and he could not see who it was but fear flashed through the eyes of his attacked and soon both of them were let go off dropped to the floor. "Mikaela-" "shut up both off you are not supposed to be here so leave" the two vampires walked off not before shooting an angry look towards yuichiro. Yuu scrambled to his little sister relieved to find her still breathing and her eyes open looking at him.

Yuu felt a hand on his shoulder and turned his head around looking into another pair of red eyes and quickly put his hand around his sister ready to protect her from the monster. "you won't lay a hand on her!" it was the same vampire that had returned her stuffed animal the day they had arrived here and yuu wondered why he was dressed so different and why those others listened to him. "i wasn't planning on doing so, here" the blonde held out a bottle to him, yuu carefully took it and opened it seeing that was inside was just water. "both of you should drink something you might end up getting a headache otherwise" Yuu nodded and took a sip of the water first seeing if it was save before handing it to his sister letting her drink most of it before having what was left.

Handing the bottle back to the vampire yuu helped his little sister get back up again while she continued to cling onto him clearly scared of the boy with red eyes.

"try to stay out of trouble it's not save here" he patted yuu on the head before leaving again making it look like nothing had happened.

When it was finally over and his sister was sound asleep in his arms passed out from the lack of blood he met up with the rest of his siblings to return to their home. "yuu!" once they saw him they quickly ran over to the raven-haired male and hugged onto him. "hey guys, it's okay now we're together again" he smiled a little having decided on staying strong for his siblings and giving them the comfort they needed despite wishing someone would give him the same comfort telling him everything would be okay, but for now he would care and protect his siblings putting himself aside.

They were all he had left after all.
