3 person pov

Two more weeks had passed in this place and Emily had gotten sick due to the cold meaning it was most likely winter already. The others hadn't shown any signs of a cold or a fever yet but Yuu was sure they would soon get sick as well.

Yuu had left his youngest sister outside of the building after convincing the monsters dressed in white that she was in no condition to give blood, they didn't care only about the fact that the kid was sick so the blood wouldn't be good anyway.

"aww what may a cute little girl like you be doing here all alone?" she looked up and backed off seeing the white robes the other was dressed in. "aww no need to be scared little girl~ I just want some of your blood" her back hit the wall and despite not completely getting what was going on she knew that this man was dangerous, yuu had warned her for them. "s-stay back..!" the man just laughed and walked up to her standing in front of her only a couple of steps away from the terrified girl. "where is your big brother little girl? Got no one to save you now~" tears rolling down her face only seemed to please the vampire in front of her, she quickly scrambled back on her feet and ran off the vampire just followed her amused by all of this just seeing it as a game before his meal.

She ran quite far still having the vampire trailing behind her who was just walking like nothing was happening, with her small legs her running was walking for the male. Not finding anything she could hide behind like yuu had told her to when someone was following her she hide behind the one person she recognized and hoped would help her. "oh~ Mika mind handing me that girl? She just ran away from me quite rude of her" she was trembling holding on to the leg of the blonde vampire who seemed unamused. "Bathory you should know better than disobey straight orders from the queen to not harm the children" the silver-haired vampire just laughed and walked over to the other trying to take the girl away from behind Mikaela but was pushed back a few feet. "really Mika? I thought we were friends~ you should be a good friend and give me the girl" the blonde just sighed and turned around getting the girl to let go of him before picking her up. "see you later Bathory, try to keep our time apart as long as possible"

He walked off leaving a very frustrated ferid behind who had just been stolen from his meal.

When out of sight from the other vampire Mikaela placed the little girl down again who quickly held onto his leg again way to scared to be alone right now. "where is your brother?" he tried sounding as nice as possible hoping to not scare the girl more than she already was. "yuu is in there" pointing to the building the blonde nodded looking at the girl who was holding onto him. "can.. Can you wait here with me mister..?" "sure we can wait for your brother together" she smiled a little and hide her face. "may I ask you for your name?" she looked up at the blonde slightly before stepping away from the other looking down to the floor. "Emily... Hyakuya" he smiled a little and knelt down in front of the girl and patted her on the head. "it is a pleasure meeting you Emily-san, my name is Mikaela, you don't need to be scared of me I won't hurt you" she nodded before shivering due to the cold air surrounding them and leaned against the vampire hoping she could get the same comfort from him that she got from her older brother. He moved her away from her a little confusing the girl before taking his cape off and wrapping it around her. He sat down on the floor leaning his back against a wall and Emily carefully sat down on his lap leaning into the blonde his chest.

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep when she finally had some warmth surrounding her. It had turned night already not that you could see it from underground but the air was different and fresher than it was during the day. A vampire soldier walked past the two of them and reached out to get the girl of the blonde but was stopped. "Mikaela-sama this girl-" "it is okay, get me something for her to eat" the girl quickly nodded her head and ran off to do what the blonde had told her to not asking any questions as she knew better than to disobey him.

When Emily woke up she shot up quickly moving away from the blonde realizing that it wasn't yuu who was holding her while sleeping. "hey it is okay I won't hurt you, here" he held his hand out for her to grab, she carefully reached out for his hand and got back on his lap. "do you like apples?" she quickly nodded and noticed the basket of apples next to the blonde. Slightly moving forward Mikaela took a small blade out of its sheath and grabbed an apple cutting it into small pieces having the girl watch him. "mister? Why are you nice to me..? All the others are really mean... And they hurt yuu.." he smiled a little and handed her some apple slices putting his knife in the basket. "I don't see a reason to be mean after all you didn't do anything wrong" she nodded and took the apple slices from him slowly eating them. It was fresh fruit better than the half rotten things they normally get and she unintentionally leaned back against the vampire his chest nibbling on the apple slices.

When yuu had finally found his sister he did not expect her to be sitting on a vampire smiling while talking to him about some stupid show she used to watch on tv. "Emily are you okay? Did he hurt you?" he ran up to her checking if she was okay and she quickly hugged him. The cape fell off her shoulder and she let go of yuu wrapping it around herself again before feeling cold again. "mister vampire saved me from the evil vampire, he has been waiting for you with me till you came back! Look he even gave me apples!" she gave yuu a slice of the apple she had been eating and he smiled a little not wanting to ruin her happiness. "thanks for taking care of her.." "it was not a problem, here" he handed her the rest of the apples making her smile more hugging him. "thank you mister vampire!" he just smiled and patted her head.

When she got off him the blonde got up and dusted off his clothes. She tried giving him back his cape but he just smiled at her saying she could keep it. "really? Don't you need it mister?" "no I got another one, and please stop calling me that I feel so old now" she just laughed at him and yuu smiled a little. "what was your name again mister?" "Mikaela" she tried pronouncing his name but failed miserably every time she tried, yuu laughed at her but when she told him to try it he failed as well resulting in himself getting laughed at. "can we call you Mika?" the blonde looked at yuu and nodded his head smiling a little. "Sure that's fine, the two of you should be heading back now it is getting late" Emily pouted and got her hand taken by yuu before they said their goodbyes to the vampire and left to get home.

When they got home the others ran up to them worried about why they were outside for that long but after some reassuring, they calmed down. After dinner what mostly existed out of them eating apples was nice seeing as they hadn't gotten any fresh food since they have gotten here they all went to sleep hoping the next day would bring them some happiness.
