3 person pov

Years had passed and yuu was now sixteen years old, he had never forgotten that day and there wasn't a day that went by without him blaming himself for the death of his family and the vampire. He wore Mikaela his necklace and ring the only time he took them off was when his hand was big enough to wear the ring and he had taken it off the chain from the necklace and put it on his ring finger smiling a little.

His new friends didn't know much about what had happened that night he didn't speak much about his time in the vampire city and they respected that. Nightmares still showed up every night and he wished Mika was there to keep him safe while he was sleeping. In those few weeks of having the vampire sleep with him in the vampire city his nightmares had been gone, but now that he no longer has Mika his nightmares are always there, have been haunting him for years. The last words of his little sister, the last time he saw Mika knelt down on the floor with blood everywhere. The last time he had sat at the table enjoying dinner with his family the nightmares wouldn't let him forget it.

It was another day full of boring school work, Wednesday was a day meant for education and not for training. "Yoichi can you help me please?" he was having a bad day, the nightmare from last night that was more like a memory had taken its toll on him and he was beyond exhausted. "of course yuu-Kun" Yoichi got up and sat down next to him allowing yuu to lay his head on his shoulder. His friends had picked up on his mood as soon as they met up, kimizuki hadn't been rude to him nor made any jokes about his appearance. Shinoa had not teased him at all and had been worried about him ever since he had denied breakfast, mitsuba was nice to him and did not once joke about hating him and saying he was stupid and Yoichi was always kind to him so it wasn't too much of a difference. He was tugging at the necklace around his neck holding the symbol of the pendant that he guessed was Mikaela his family symbol he never bothered to look it up not being able to deal with the pain it would most likely cause him.

"yuu-san where did you get that from? You've had it since we met you, I have never seen you take it off" "Mika gave it to me.." they knew the name thinking Mika was one of his siblings they never dared to ask more into it not wanting yuu to relive more bad memories than he already had to. "it is really pretty you two must have been really close" he nodded his head and tried focusing on his homework but failing like always. His sibling never got the chance to go to school so why should he go? Did Mika ever go to school when he was younger? He couldn't stop thinking about how unfair it was that he was still alive and they were all dead because he was too weak to save them. "Yuu-Kun? Are you okay you're crying" yuu looked up at Yoichi before quickly wiping his tears away nodding his head. "yea just got lost in my thoughts" Yoichi nodded and motioned for kimizuki to come over to them what he did. Kimizuki sat down next to them and put his arm around yuu pulling him closer comforting him. This was weird to most people but the two of them despite all their bickering got along quite well.

When the moon stood in the sky it was time for them to clean up all their homework and get to bed seeing as they would need to get up early in the morning for training again.
