"This time, I'll hide and you'll be the seeker!" Sunny stood atop one of the many climbing blocks scattered about the daycare after having found me easily.

"Good idea. Ready, steady, go! One... Two..."

"No peeking!" Their giggly voice reminded me as the sound of bells grew quieter and quieter. Once I reached twenty, I made a show of uncovering my eyes and wondering aloud.

"Now where could my best friend be hiding?" It was a good question. We'd been playing for a little over an hour now, and the few times I'd actually been able to find them, it had been in the most obscure places that I'd only looked at by chance. I had noticed that almost every time, they were in a position that allowed them to observe me trying to find them, and I assumed they found it funny, causing me to over act. "Are you under the art table? Boo! Oh, what? Not here..." I tutted and continued on my venture, listening out for a telltale giggle or the jingling of their wrists. I'd discovered from one of the daytime staff that they had the bells so that blind children could find them easier, which was absolutely adorable! As I wandered into the large open square in the middle of the play area, there was a familiar sound that made my heart drop.

Whir, click.

Darkness.

My breath caught in my throat.

"Sunny?" No response. "Moonrise? Are you there?" A raspy snigger echoed around me.

"Girl~"

"Now then, Moonrise. I know that you know my name."

"Silly girl." A sudden weight on my back and shoulders caused me to cry out. "Got you!"

"Moonrise, that could have injured me! You must be more careful." They got off, but quickly reappeared in front of me. I noted that they had actually listened to me.

"Naughty. It's nap time. Naughty children get punished!"

"Punished?"

"Painful. Ask Montymontymontymonty-" Moonrise repeated the alligator's name in a voice that got higher as it went, eventually trailing off as they hopped from one foot to another. They'd done something to Monty? Not wanting to risk anything, I racked my brains for an idea.

"Okay, let's take a nap then."

"Wh-" I lowered myself to the floor, pulling Moon by the hand until they were laying down with me.

"I'll sleep for five minutes as long as you stay here and nap with me." Their red eyes narrowed as they protested.

"No! Must find naughty children!" They went to get up and, panicking, I wrapped my arms around them and pulled them in for a close hug. Before they could protest, I quickly spoke.

"Goodnight!" I even added some fake snores for added effect. They were tense for a few moments, but didn't attempt to move away. It was like they were deciding what to do. Once they were satisfied that I was 'asleep', they leaned into my touch, motors slowing down as they relaxed.

"Not naughty." They murmured, nuzzling sleepily into my shoulder. "Nice. Nice Ollie." And there we lay, silent other than the gentle hum of electronics that I had become all too accustomed to by now, until the five minutes I promised were finished.

"That was a lovely nap. Thank you for reminding me to take it." Moon analysed my face for a moment before grumpily replying.

"I'm going to find naughty children now."

"Great. I'll come with you."

"If you have to." They stalked out of the daycare, scuttling around the hallways, occasionally giggling and taunting anyone who may be listening. As I walked behind them, I tried to radio through to Alex, asking how the fuse box looked. To no avail. At least I knew that Moon tolerated me now that I had actually 'taken a nap'. Had anyone else thought to just obey them? Maybe they'd all get along better if the others humoured Moon for a while.
