"You did what?" Chica screeched.

"You must be lying." Roxy snarled.

"Tell us again." Monty demanded. "Your story will change and we'll have proof that you're having us on." With a sigh, I told them again what had happened.

"We were walking along and talking. She said that bears were her favourite animal, therefore I'm her favourite. I took a chance and decided to be a little bit flirty like Monty is and put my arm around her shoulder. She leant against me and said she was happy. Then we stayed like that for a little while. Then we simply continued what we were doing." Monty was slack jawed.

"So you had the perfect opportunity to get romantic and you just... Carried on with what you were doing?" Roxy asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Wh- Well I wouldn't say-"

"Freddy. You two are adorable!" Chica gasped.

"I was just- just being friendly!"

"What are you guys talking about?" We all jumped, Monty and Chica yelping at the sudden amused voice behind us.

"Nothing!" We all responded, turning to see Olive, hands pulling her messy hair into a fluffy updo.

Monty bobbed his head to the background music whenever Ollie wasn't working on him, Chica spoke endlessly, and even Roxy would hum along to her favourite parts. All in all, it was a bright and cheerful start to the night. Every time Ollie touched me to make the small repairs that John had missed or left for her, I felt myself smiling.

"Right, that's it." She finally said, wiping her hands on a rag. "Time to get you that power cell upgrade, Mr Fazbear!" I'd completely forgotten.

"Good luck. Read that thing carefully!" Chica pointed at the manual in her hand.

"Yeah, try not to decommission him. I actually kind of like this one." Roxy added. Ollie looked up at her with an ecstatic expression.

"You like him!"

"Tch. Sorta."

"That warms my heart, Roxanne."

"Shut up, Fazbear." I held my hands up in surrender.

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Monty winked at us as we left the room.

"Worst advice I've heard all year." Ollie responded, raising an eyebrow. I pressed my lips together to suppress a laugh.

"Hey! I heard that!"

"Are you sure you're comfortable doing this?" Freddy asked as I hurriedly flipped through the manual, absorbing as much information as I could before we started.

"Of course! I'm just double checking..." He put his hand over mine, swamping both of them easily.

"You'll do a great job, superstar." We smiled at each other, and a pleasant feeling appeared in my stomach. Getting straight to work, I led him into the chamber and started attaching the wires and machinery to him as he laid down. Once I was sure everything was properly hooked up, I went to start the process on the fossil of a computer outside.

"Please enter the safety chamber and proceed with the power cell upgrade." An automated voice told me.

"Are you nervous?"

"Not at all. I'm quite looking forward to being taken apart. It's been quite a long time since I've needed an upgrade."

"You're... looking forward to it?"
