After the previous conversation, the two were left in uncomfortable silence, Sam still had a headache and Dean was wondering if he should try and say something. Just talking to him was slowly working but it wasn't enough he needed faster results. Before he could decide what to do Sam took notice of the locket around Dean's neck. It was the only thing that Slenderman didn't take away thinking that something so small couldn't be threatening.
"What is that?" Sam asked. "I have seen people wear things like that before," Dean looked at the necklace around his neck and touched it.
"It's a locket," Dean responded. Sam tilted her head to the side as if she was trying to figure out why he was wearing it.
"I've seen only girls wear those, does this mean you are not male?" She asked. Dean wasn't sure if he should laugh or be insulted by her question.
"Okay, first of all, I'm pretty sure I'm a male," Dean explained. "And secondly, males and females can wear lockets," he continued. "I'm only wearing this because it belongs to someone that's been missing for eight years,"
"That sounds very sad, I can't remember what that feels like but it sounds very sad," Sam answered. "I can't recall a lot of things like the taste of food or falling asleep," she continued. "My master gives everyone the blessing to take all that away," she kept going. "It's what he's trying to give you,"
"You think that no sleep and no food is a blessing?" Dean said. "If that's his idea of a blessing I still won't take it,"
"No Dean, I didn't pick the name for it, my master calls it a blessing since it's part of his soul," Sam explained. "Every time he finds someone new he gives them the blessing," she continued. "It feels a little bit like black slime sometimes," she kept going. "Don't tell anyone this but ever since I saw you the other day, I've wanted the blessing to be taken away," Dean started to feel slightly confident that he was close to getting his sister back, but he couldn't do it without her help.
"Why don't you ask him then?" Dean questioned.
"No he would feed me to his werewolf," Sam responded, shaking her head. "I don't even know where the blessing is,"
"Hate to break it to you sis, but that werewolf your boss happened to own," Dean started. "Is dead, I killed it with a silver bullet," Sam blinked a few times.
"What..." She trailed, unsure how he had managed to pull off killing that enormous creature. "But how did you do it?"
"I think you already know the answer to that," Dean responded. "I was trained to be a hunter by someone close to me, I also taught myself everything I needed to know about the supernatural, and that paid off, werewolves may look strong and immune but a silver bullet through the heart kills them instantly," he continued. "If you need out I can help you, I just need a special gun and a way to get out of these chains," he kept going. "I know that Slenderman doesn't have a weakness but like my surrogate father said: Everything has a weakness, nothing is immune, and if it bleeds it can be killed," Sam got closer to him and sat next to him. She wanted to know if he could remove the blessing from wherever it was, and remember who she was.
"If I do this will you take the blessing away?" She asked. "It didn't hurt before but now it hurts,"
"Yes," Dean said. "If you help me I will do everything I can to remove that 'blessing'"
"Why are you being so nice to me Dean?" Sam asked. "My master never is, he likes to grab me with his tentacles," Dean tried his best not to show anger especially with what Slenderman had been doing to his sister, he took a deep breath and looked at her.
"Because I made a promise, not just to myself, but to you," Dean explained. "I know you don't remember but I promised that I won't let you down and that you'd be with me forever, and forever is a long time, longer than time itself," Sam recognized those words, and without warning her head started hurting. It was worse than her headaches from earlier and she actually lost her balance trying to stop the pain. Sam coughed until black goo came out of her mouth, Dean could only guess it was the 'blessing' she was talking about earlier.
"Where am I?" Sam asked once she had stopped coughing. The influence from Slenderman was gone and she couldn't recall how she got to this place. "What is the matter with my voice?"
"Sammy?" Dean said certain that he might have gotten his sister back. "Is that actually you and not a mindless drone?" Sam jumped in fright not recognizing her brother since he was a lot older.
"Yes but who are you and where is Dean? I was sleeping in his bed," Sam questioned.
"It's me, Sammy," Dean said. "You've been missing for eight years, I'm seventeen now, your thirteen,"
"Why was I missing?" Sam cried. "I don't even remember being taken away, and Dean you're hurt," Sam had touched Dean's arm causing Dean to flinch at the pain but he pushed it aside.
"Compliments of Slenderman, I will explain everything else later but I need your help," Dean said. "Find the key that unlocks these chains and find the colt, I assume Slendy has it hidden somewhere in this castle," Sam still didn't quite understand what her brother meant. But she nodded and promised him she would try her best to stop Slenderman. In the forest, Slenderman was trying to figure out how Dean was able to pass all the tests that he had thrown at the young hunter. Slendy had gone to the mausoleum to see why his werewolf hadn't killed the guy right off the bat. The minute he teleported inside, he was surprised to see that his werewolf had been killed and by a silver bullet for that matter.
"I gotta hand it to that teen, he's strong," Slendy said to himself. "Stronger than I would have thought, someone like that would have been great as one of my proxies," Elijah ran over to his master to tell him the situation about the last proxy.
"Sir, I just checked the last proxy, the one you sent to protect the last page," Elijah said. "He didn't survive, he's dead,"
"What?!" Slenderman asked in anger. Today was shaping up to be a terrible day and hearing that Dean had not only passed all of the tests and grabbed all his pages. But he had killed his pet and one of his proxies, because of how angry he was all of the gravestones started trembling and he let out a scream as he destroyed them all. The proxies only managed to survive by hiding among the trees. "I want him dead!" He screamed referring to Dean Winchester.
"I'll send someone to kill him right away sir!" Elijah exclaimed. "He won't slip through your grasps again!" Elijah turned toward the other proxies and yelled for one of them who just so happened to be Garth. "Go kill that Winchester boy! He's brought master nothing but pain!" Garth nodded quickly and took off heading back to the castle where Sam just so happened to be searching for the key and the colt. She was extremely tired and also starving but she tried not to focus on that since she had to find the key and the colt. When she managed to find the items she took notice of Garth running towards the castle, unsure of how to distract the kid without her memories she ran back to Dean.
"Dean, someone is coming," she told him. While she was thirteen physically her mind was still mentally a young girl. "I got these but I'm not sure what to do," Dean politely took the key and the gun, he freed himself so that way he would be ready to take on Slenderman or whoever was coming before they tried anything.
"It's okay," Dean said. "I'll deal with it," finally freed. He got up from his spot on the floor, briefly stretching since he had been chained for so long, and ran for the door. "Stay behind me I'm not going to lose you again,"
"Please let me help Dean, I don't want you to get hurt again," Sam responded. "Your arm is bleeding, you need to see a doctor,"
"I'll be fine," Dean responded. "I've had wounds like this before," Sam refused to let her brother go out there especially since he hadn't eaten until now and was probably still hungry. Not only that but his arm had been bleeding, until they could get to a doctor, she tore a long piece of fabric from her shirt and walked over to him. Sam wrapped the fabric around his arm to keep the bleeding from getting any worse.
"Don't take it off De," Sam ordered. "I don't want you to get hurt again," Dean nodded and took off out of the room he had the colt in his hand but the hard part was to avoid hurting the kids. Aside from the fact that they would probably want to kill him at least this time, he would be prepared.
