"Lils you ready?!?!" I heard Axl yell from the bottom of the steps.
"It's Lily, and yes. I'm ready" I said emerging from my room at the top step.
"Good, let's go....your going in that?" He questioned motioning to my outfit. I was in a pair of high rise black bike shorts and a boxy cropped white and gray tie dye tshirt with red vans. My hair was still down and straightened but I had on oversized black aviators .
"Yeah, that ok?" I asked as I looked at him.
"I suppose" he answered shaking his head in disbelief.
"Look, I'm hungover, I'm tired, if I want to dress comfortably I will" I replied before walking down the steps and towards the front door.
Once in the car, we made our way down the road to Slash's place where I'm assuming the studio is. It was only a 20 minute drive so it wasn't that far.
"You excited to see everyone?" He asked occasionally looking at me.
"Only Doofy" I replied
"Doofy? You mean Duff?"
"No, Doofy. I used to call him that when I was little"
"Oh god are you serious" he said laughing
"As a heart attack" I replied while he rolled his eyes.
We pull up to the house and get out of the car walking into Slash's place.
"Come on, we'll be down here" Axl said leading me into the basement and through a door.
"Doofy!" He exclaimed excitedly at Duff as soon as he saw him making me and everyone else laugh.
"Jesus not you too" he laughed back.
"Hey Lily" Duff said smiling as I gave him and everyone a hug before sitting on one of the chairs.
There was a knock on the door before it opened and a boy my age, maybe a year older appeared.
"Oh, Lily this is my son Jacob, Jacob this is Axl's daughter Lily" Slash said introducing us. I smiled at him, he was cute but I recognized him.
"I think we go to school together, you're a senior right?" I asked him as he smiled
"Yeah, junior right?" He replied
"Yeah...unfortunately" I laughed out while everyone in the room stared at us.
"Alright....well we're going to get to work" Axl said.
"That's fine, I'm going to go smoke" I said getting up from the chair and walking out.
"Come on, can't you give it a rest?!" My dad raised his voice so I could hear him.
"No!" I yelled back closing the door.

I made it back upstairs and out front. Walking to the end of the driveway I sat on the curb after grabbing a cigarette and lighter from the car and lit up.

"Mind if I join you?" I heard from behind me.
"Sure" I said shrugging my shoulders.
"So...you're Axl's daughter?" He asked
"I mean, I guess" I laughed out
"What do you mean you guess?"
"Well, I just actually found out he was my dad. I've been with my mom my whole life but she passed away and now I live with Axl" I explained
"So I'm guessing your last name isn't Rose then" he stated
"Nope, it's Blackwell"
"Cool, you gonna change it?"
"Is that any of your concern?" I replied getting annoyed.
"Sorry I was just wondering..have you seen the area yet?"
"Again, nope" I answered as he rolled his eyes and smiled at me before standing up and pulling me with him.
"Come on, let's go" he said pulling me into the house and back downstairs to grab his keys.
"We're going out dad" he said opening the studio door.
"See ya Axl!" I said before being pulled by Jacob out of the door.
"Where are we going?" I asked him as I sat in the passenger seat of the car.
"You'll see" he said before driving off. The drive was quiet, he showed me all of the homes in the neighborhood and eventually pulled up to the top of this hill overlooking the city.

"Damn" I said as he lit a cigarette for me.
"Pretty isn't it" he replied
"Pretty? Try gorgeous" I chuckled out.
"You drink?" He asked me as I smiled
"Depends...what do you have?" I said turning to look at him.
"Vodka and Jack Daniels" he said holding up two bottles from the trunk.
"Mmmm either will do" I said as he brought both over. I grabbed the bottle of vodka and unscrewed the top taking a swig as he did the same with the Jack.
"Your dad know you have these?" I asked him
"Honestly, he probably does but just hasn't said anything to me. Your dad gonna care?" He responded looking at me.
"Axl? I mean, maybe? I don't know honestly. He was fine with me going out last night but made me suffer my hangover this morning."
"That's fucked dude" he laughed out
"Tell me about it" I replied.
"So, I know I've seen you in school before but I'm surprised I haven't seen you at any of the parties"
"Well that's probably because I don't go to senior parties and if I do I'm usually there for a short amount of time" I said to him
"How come?" He asked looking at me
"I don't know, I usually stick to my little group of misfits. I don't really like meeting new people." I replied shrugging it off.
"Understandable but you're coming with me this weekend" he said. Taking me by surprise, I whipped my head over to him
"I'm sorry what?" I stuttered out
"It'll be fun, come on we should be getting back" he said standing and pulling me up with him.

We made it back to his place as my dad everyone were getting ready to leave.
"Come on Lils" my dad said from the driver seat. I turned and looked at Jacob.
"Thanks for today" I said with a small smile.
"No problem, hey I'll pick you up at 10 on Saturday alright?" He said as I was getting in the car.
"See ya then"
I closed the door and my dad was staring at me.
"What was that all about?" He asked being nosey
"Nothing, nothing at all" I replied before looking out the window.
