Part 38.

The drive to Interscope was to be expected, boring, tiring, and filled with traffic. Charlotte was strangely calm in the backseat of Jakes car as I was almost asleep.

"Hey Lils we're here" I felt Jakes hand on my knee jolting me awake as I yawned and got out.

Upon arrival, it was like walking into any other huge corporate office, very clean and white.

"Right this way..." he led us down to the elevator and towards his office, Charlottes little fingers interlaced with mine as we followed him through double doors.

"So what do you think?" He asked as we looked around.

"Impressive...you really made a name for yourself here havent you?" He smiled at my genuine question.

"Only took a couple of years but yeah finally made it where I want to be" opening his laptop he sat at his desk flipping through emails.

"I'm going to run to the bathroom, can Charlotte stay with you in here or do you want me to take her?" I asked now standing at the door.

"She can stay, it's down the hall on the left by the conference room" I walked down the corridor, my eyes scanning all of the gold records on the walls and memorabilia until I found the restroom door. A meeting must have just gotten out as a bunch of people flooded the halls.

"Lily?" I heard from behind me as I exited the bathroom door, turning I saw Colson standing there as I sighed.

"I've been trying to get a hold of you all day, what are you doing here?" He asked walking up to me.

"Jake brought us here to see his office, and I'm still upset with you Colson about the shit from last night. You come to my work which is fine, I did my job which is also fine, but what's not fine is you forcefully grabbing me to keep going when you are smacked out of your mind and then I'm the one who has to take you home at 330 in the morning, change you and put you to bed only for me to finally get home at 5 in the morning and not sleep at all." I sat there scolding him like a child as he gave me an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry Lils....I don't have any recollection of last night. But you know I would never force you to do anything right?"

"It's still doesn't make it ok Colson! It's not ok that your friends just dumped you there for me to take car-" he cut me off by shushing me and looked around.

"What? Are you shushing me for?" I said as he grabbed my hand and led me to a door putting his ear up to it. Listening in all that could be heard were grunts and groans as I looked at him slightly grossed out before he creeped the door open. The sight before my eyes was absolutely atrocious as I watched Emily getting railed by some guy over a desk. My hand over my mouth while he closed the door again quietly.

"Well that was interesting...." Was all Colson could say as he pulled out his phone.

'What's up?'
'Hey, hope this isn't a bad time but uhhh ya might want to come to Derek's office...'
'I'll be there in a minute'

The phone clicked off and within 15 seconds we saw Jake and Charlotte appear down the hall walking towards us. The sounds clearly visible to him as well. His face contorting from confusion to anger as he handed me our daughter.

"Colson can you take them home for me?" He asked as Colson shrugged his shoulders and said sure before we followed him out to his car.

"Thank you..." I muttered to him as we pulled into my driveway.

"It's the least I can do after last night...I'm still sorry about the Lily"

"Apologize to me on a different day. I'm exhausted and have to feed Charlotte dinner" I gave him a small hug and got us both out of the car.
